Hmmm ... Exotics from three basics and no WK level (to make them more accessible), uniques from four basics (or perhaps include one exotic) and both WK levels (to keep them unique)?
If you ask me, I second this idea.

And some considerations:

It would probably be not that much of a hell to code. "What do you want to modify (wabm)?" Press "m" and a list of your mods pops out.

A question how to handle modded mods sprang to my mind - would these be attachable to weapons or armor, until they are complete?
The answer would be no, _unless_ this would form an assembly. Otherwise, this would be an easy bypass around WK.
Also, triple mods would not be allowed to be even created without WK, even if they could create an advanced assembly. Again, an easy WK bypass.

There could also be a consideration regarding a saved spot in inventory, but this doesn't seem to be much of an issue to me. AoLT would be a different matter, though.

Well, take this simply as a little brainstorming about an interesting idea :).

I also did a YAAM on my first try - but that was on Easy :).

Seriously, congratulations. I believe that the Post Mortem section will be yours to rule again soon.

Btw. the music from Sonic Clang is available for download at their site. Ten tracks, one better than another. And the first level music outright rocks!
I will try to bind the tracks to DoomRL levels. This makes your heart beat even faster when playing :).

EDIT: Is there a way to randomise the tracks within the .lua file?

Hey, don't blame me for posting an ITYTD mortem. I just wanted to see the new contents ASAP ;).

Well, some impressions:
I was first very scared when I realized that Hellgate was moved so far above, so I certainly do appreciate the change there. The old layout would be really scary on the new depth.
I also found the new powerup. It can be really helpful, that"s all I can say.
Another supriise came in later game - I never met a single revenant, mancubus or Archvile, except from the Arena Master. Is that a feature on ITYTD, or was I just plain lucky?
All in all, a lucky and nice game for me. Finding the Lava Armor at the Lava Pits came as a moment of smile.

And the new boss? I was shivering, minding every single step and listening to those footsteps ...

My current research results are in: roguelikes do get harder to play when you're tired, drunk, horny or otherwise incapacitated.

Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst (and it's sequels).
Beautiful hidden object games with a very spooky atmosphere, clever puzzles, nice graphics. What more can one want from a HOG? :)

Cloud saving profiles is one of the planned features :>
... online play, perhaps? A public server, even more perhaps?
Dungeon Crawl, for instance, works _extremely_ well online.
Zot:5 ghosts of _other_ players are even more of a nightmare that Nightmare! is here.
