Title: AA and unique armours- player colour?
Post by: The DoomRLguy on January 28, 2010, 14:42
I know about changing to the colour of the armour you're wearing, and wondered... Does the AA make you turn bright yellow, and unique armours make you turn bright green? Just wondered...

Lol.
Not laughing at the question, but such a short, simple answer. Could've responded in a manner that would make TheDoomRLguy want to earn those items and find out in person. But, yes they do.

Where did you find out about the AA and unique armors, if you hadn't seen them and worn them?

Actually, that color change is the first thing I ever noticed about unique armors. "Huh, am I really wearing Necroarmor? This light green thing?? o.O" :P

Wiki, as has been said. I look at all spoilers in existence, man. Wiki, mortems and all.

Interesting. I have looked up some things, but I prefer to find out the things first-hand, as it is more interesting and surprising. Spoilers really do spoil things for me, and it becomes just what I expected. But to each his own.

I tend to look at spoilers after I've discovered something for my own already and want to avoid stupid mistakes. For example, IMO it would be rather stupid if you have to find Trigun, use Angel Arm, and then have to start your game all over and find Trigun a second time in order to be able to properly use it.
Incidentally, the second or third time I found a nuke went something like that... "It can't possibly just kill everything including myself on the level. That would be silly and practically useless. Well, I have to find out what it does sometime and it seems common enough so..."

It can be kinda fun to learn the hard way. I do look up Uniques if I find them and I don't know what they do aside from firing (like Hell Staff). Kinda couldn't avoid learning about Trigun, everyone seems to talk about it. Know some about DS, except how to wield it, never seen it myself. Kinda spoiled myself on the last last level, but I tried to figure it out and had no luck so pieced it together after some browsing online.
