Hey all, I kind of forgot about this game for about a year, and I just decided to give this great game another try, and was I impressed by the changes!  I especially liked how the computer maps are useful now!  And besides that, I noticed tweaks to the monsters and weapons which I greatly appreciate!  Bravo!

....who can make a roguelike whit firearms
and an insane amount of violence and gore in a survival horror environement?

I agree, you pretty much just summed up DoomRL.  Personally, I just love these games which are being converted in dungeon crawlers.

Yeah, I'm still here as well.  I've just been bogged down with school projects.

You should try the newest beta.
What, .985 isn't the newest version?  Or is there a Beta version  I don't have access to?

I did WAY better on this than I thought I would; in fact, this is the farthest I have gotten in this release so far!  Who'da thunk it?  By the way, Dualweilding with an advanced pistis is sweet; it's almost like having a miniature double shotgun! (Of course, I'd still prefer the shotgun...)

Has this cool sneezing Hell Knight been taken yet?  How do I get set up with it?

Edit: Nevermind; I figured it out.

Hey there, haven't been around for a really long time (due to school, work, and overall procrastination), so I thought I'd say hello here.

Hi.

Kornel, I just downloaded the latest version, and I'm just blown away! I'm really sorry I didn't stick around through all the beta testing.  I'm really impressed with all the additions.

Good, now that we have Wolfenstein RL on its way, who wants to start working on MARIO RL?!  Anyone?

I admire your gumption (whatever that is), but I have a few ideas from I had from studying the game for the last couple days.

1.  The Pistol, Machine Gun, and Caingun all used the same ammo and dealt the same damage.  The only thing that changed was the rate of fire.

2. In the original, non-3d WOlfenstein, there were grenades and enemy uniforms you could wear.

3. In the Mac version of Wolf 3D, there were two extra weapons- the flame thrower, which ran on gas, and the rocket launcher, which used rockets.

Also, I'm gonna repost a link Kornel gave me.
http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/enemies.htm

And here is one I found.
http://www.mac-archive.com/wolfenstein/index.html

Question, what enemies are you thinking about?  Because I can only think of 5 different enemies -- the rest are bosses and special level enemies.

Alright, How about naming them Former Human, Sergent, Captain and Commando/er, and having the full names in the LOOK description next to the ASCII portrait?

Please do!  I'm eager to see it!

Edit:  Ever since I read your post about the board game, I have started working on my own!

Quoting: Psycho
I have always thought a WolfRL would be awsome, if you could sneak up on guards, and stuff.

I actually created a boardgame like that once, it was fun, really difficult for the escapee, but fun.

Really?  Do you still have the rules and stuff?  I'd love to give it a try!

What, more beautiful than me?

...

Wolfenstein defined the entire genre of FPS's.  What better form to immortalize it than ASCII?
