I guess this is the same problem as the Quartermaster Platinum Badge. You are required to kill 100% enemies to get the badge, but the game gives it to you even if you didn't.

Homing phase device definitely doesn't work on Phobos Arena, even after a nuke. I had one game where I had 2 HPDs, Trigun and an Invul globe on level 23. Picked the globe, ran for the stairs, used one HPD on level 24, Angel Arm'ed Cybie, then used the other HPD expecting it to take me to the stairs but it worked as a normal phase device. Luckily I found the stairs fast and Angel Arm'ed JC as well.

Damn you! I couldn't get 100% kills in my AoSh game no matter what, so I had to settle for 80%. Great job!

I'm pretty sure it's a ranged Longinus Spear, in fact. 8d8 damage and it impales enemies? It has to be.

I started playing N! recently and so far I'm getting my ass kicked (in my best run I reached level 12, stupid arachno caves). The ammochain build just isn't working for me, the early traits doesn't benefit the weapons available at the time (shotguns get minimal benefit, chaingun misses way too much to benefit from SoaB and Triggerhappy). I never survived long enough to pick ammochain.

So I tried going for a Cateye build and my game improved a lot. With Eagle Eye most of the chaingun bullets actually hit. Intuition lets you manage enemies better, sense valuable powerups and, more importantly, increases your chance to find loot (when you know there are no enemies in a room, you're more likely to go there and search for items). If you survive long enough for Cateye then you can kill enemies from afar.

It's gonna take me some time to beat N! but at least knowing which build to go for is a good start.

For some reason I've NEVER mistaken a double shotty, even though it looks very similar to the pistol. But yeah, that one needs a color change too.

The large medpack is hard to locate when there's a lot of blood around. I always have trouble finding it after clearing Hell Arena.

Agility mods increase accuracy. The one that reduces firing time is technical mod (lol nitpicking).

The fire time for dualshot doesn't add up. If both pistols are unmodded, they take 1 second per dualshot (disregarding traits). If you mod one pistol with technical mod, that time is slighty reduced (like, 0,7 secs per dualshot). If both pistols are modded, the time is reduced even further (around 0,56 secs per dualshot).

You can confirm that by checking the character info screen in the game (@ button).

This badge is the one I worked the hardest for, I've been trying to get it for weeks. I can't really tell what I was doing wrong before, some days ago I couldn't even reach Hell but today most of my attempts went past level 20.

About this run: Phobos Base went down perfectly. Did the arena for the double shotty, and for the most part I was stuffed with armors and medpacks, which doesn't happen often. I was picking my fights rather than clearing every level at all costs, which definitely helped me survive longer. Sometimes fighting revenants and commandos isn't worth it.

Then I reached Hell. Most of the time I get surrounded by a Vile pack at some point, but it didn't happen this time. On the other hand, I got 2 arachno caves in a row, followed by the infamous Pain Elemental cave (first time ever in it, I thought they were removed from the game), followed by another arachno cave. The pain elemental cave was actually very easy thanks to the double shotty, it's the perfect weapon to deal with masses of lost souls. And I got lucky during the arachno caves and spawned at the corners, so I could take the spiders down one by one.

As for Cybie, he was a joke. Just kept running around a pillar and shooting around the corners. He didn't last long.

Another gold badge, another promotion, and now I'm ready to attack N! full force (one more platinum badge and I rank up yet again).

For what hell do you need bulk modded onyx armor??????????

When I found the onyx pack I had the necroarmor and a red armor with bulk mod already. I tried using the pack on the necroarmor but it didn't work, so I used it on the red armor. It was actually useful, whenever the necro got too damaged I switched to the red one.

If it was UV I would stand there and shoot whoever entered my LOS. But with all the respawning on N! I just had to get out of there.

I didn't read the thread so forgive me if there's something similar posted already:

Angel of Blindness

You've been blind for most of your life, but you're so badass it didn't stop you from joining the army!

You start the game with Intuition (2) and LOS is removed. You never get to see what enemies you're facing, you can only see the red dots. You'll have to listen to their weapons and pain sounds to identify them. Also you'll never see equipment on the ground, you'll have to be on the exact square to feel it. You can sense the powerups though.
