I believe I wrote about this in my both strongman diamond posts.

1) its ok to melee-kill someone while holding ranged weapon, kills count towards fist-kills.
2) if any monster dies from any other source (i.e. demons die in lava, or even mosters tele-killing each other [and that happened to me]) while you have a weapon in your hands - kills count towards that weapon.

Well, maybe I should write small article about this on wiki, I just don't have any spare time at all.

I have not played much games still, so hust a few notes:

Out of three arena types one with courner-cutted pillars is much harder that other ones (it is not suited for corpsestacking at all)

New CC is great, new CC+ is the same as old and that means that it is great.

Phobos lab harder than military base. I think military base difficulty increase needed.

Deimos lab is way harder that armory, i think that some layout tweaks to DL needed.

The wall - very easy, it wasn't hard before when it was on lvl7 and now it is just super easy. Containment area - looks really hard, not sure though.

City of skulls - missile launcher reward is useless (since it is later than the wall).

The rest I either still didn't see or they are just like in 0.9.9.6.

All is ok till now though for some reason I got immense amounts of demon respawns in lvl4 phobos. (standard UV game)
I kept killing one particular demon in entrance of lvl that kept respawning for no apparent reason after I got a small medpack from there, in the end 2 spawned... lol.
I hope it is a feature and not a bug though it seemed a bit vexing.. I did get a message though something like "A demon appears out of nowhere".

Somewhere on the level was a small room with lots of demons and also teleporter in it (and this is possible in any doomrl version)

And I played ~1900 games, won ~60 and never was able to find that damn-super-rare bfg10k ^^.

As for the conqueror I think it is much easier in 0.9.9.7 since military base is just a great place to fist through and phobos lab may be on par with the wall.

As for the run - its all the same. Got several berserk packs on lvl2 and berserk lasted until almost the end of second wave. Damaged hell knights with shotgun then and finished them of with one or two fist hits each.
Also got two berserk packs on the level before CC+ so managed to complete it with full hp (without that packs I think i could complete it on ~15% hp).
In the beginning I was planning to get conqueror on one condition: the special level on phobos7 must be militay base since it is so much easier to fist through that phobos lab (Phobos lab must be freaking hard on only-fist runs I think). I had no luck with it, so I didn't bother later to enter useless for this particular attempt special levels.
Got MVm in anomaly and the game got much easier. Got lots of armors before armory and in it and the game got much easier again. Then I got TaN2 and nanofiber armor (this is one of that few particular situations when it is really useful) and the game became absurdly easy.
Entered UC to check if I missed some monsters and only there remembered that now one can find out kill stats it character info screen.

Made some attempts and recorded them. In fact I didn't feel like it is really that hard to finish Phobos entry damageless. Yes sometimes bad luck just pursues you and you fail in several attempts in a row and also after some time you get tired and probability of winning lowers. But when you are concentrated it is not that hard.

In record I had ~50% of successful attempts. Main strategies are: running(for greater dodge chance), shooting in the door direction when hear that it is opened, radarshooting even with pistol in hands, outrunning formers, giftdropping in some special places. Didn't use the method described by Rajhin but I think it is good and useful.  Bad thing is that I was always a scout. Also my wait count was set to really big number because I played a bit of N! angel of patience mod before making that attempts. So with reasonable wait count it should take a bit more time.

Damageless is not so unbelievable, the speed was the thing that always shocked me in 2Devs runs. In fact i think I managed to complete all specials on N! damageless in separate runs but all my attempts take very big amount of time and also much more turns.

Tried all that and much more and couldn't pick it up.

Also I suggest to at least hide those unsuccessful methods in spoiler tags if not delete completely since i think even unsuccessful ones are big spoiler that should be avoided. That is also the reason I never posted description of all my crazy and time consuming attempts to pick DS up even though I wanted to post them so much (they are pretty funny i think :D ).

As for hints in previous DS successful mortems, i read all of them some time ago and I thought that I found some HUGE hints, i had no luck with them though so maybe I was just seeing things :).

though I don't think there are any beings like that in Vanilla DoomRL who are capable of running out of ammo. 

Wanted to reply that cyberdemon is that monster that has teeth and can run out of ammo, but tested and found out that he gets rockets from the air but not from his inventory. Thats pretty strange and I think that it would be more interesting if he could run out of ammo so in some occasions players should be able to endure enough time and then kill him.

On AoPc you can usually easily pass anomaly because of berserk packs you got in CC. Souls on hntr can be a problem but I think that with two large globes and medkits at the start of anomaly they shouldn't be really dangerous.

Mancubi don't have a greater sight range than the player, but they will continuously attack the same spot if the player happens to leave their sight. It's meant to emulate the Mancubi from Doom II, where they always shoot three times.

Well, i may be wrong, but I was referring to the exact situation when mancubus shot me from that distance with his first shot. For example: i am moving to the right with some steps up and down (killing enemies in melee) and suddenly a mancubus shoots from the right even though I don't see him and the location is pretty open.
Maybe I made mistake since I moved pretty fast and maybe I just didn't notice when mancubus got into my field of view and then I just got instantly knockbacked. But it was his first shot, i am certain.

If the thing above is right, i should change mancubi color to something more noticeable, since it is not a first time something like that happened ).

Looked at Apostle rank conditions and i think Im never getting it. Its just madness.

Also remembered two facts about this run.
Somewhere in the middle of the run error message appeared and scared me a lot, but the game didn't crush.

Second fact is that I noticed many times that mancubi shoot at me from sight+1 distance, I don't know if their ai should behave like that.

I imagine you're close to getting Apostle rank then?  (Unless they changed the requirements in this version?)

Since in this version Cyberdemon is not a final boss I had got lots of kills without winning the game, so I am pretty much far away from Apostle rank. Also got a lot of Cyberdemon kills while trying to speedrun ITYTD in less than 2 minutes 50 seconds.

That is quite something. I can tell - I've been trying to pull off Ao100 n! for months now...

You set too hard goal for yourself, I can hardly imagine how you could get to level 45 with perfect killing score.
