Well on my succesfull nightmare run at AoMC, I spammed up BFG9000 quite a lot in giant groups of enemies, such as loads of anachnotrons, revenant % vile packs and in pain elemental caverns when things got heated up.
I ended up with UAC Gold star so I think the one shot = lots of dead enemies might just be it, I also suspect it might be triggered on the "quality" of the enemies, tougher the better.

I probably should've made a new topic for this but seeing as this is still in a such a short time and still basicly the same, ironicly the same kill count as well;
Destroyer Diamond is mine.
Firestorm + Plasmagun + Ammochain, how the hell could I lose?
I also got somewhat lucky with Anachnotrons this time, only 2 caverns with them and they were also quite straightforward with no big bunches together. Also there were many pain elemental caverns, but those weren't too big of a problem, really. Not to mention I got to skip many levels with exits beeing so close.

For each level, there is only one type of enemy present which is randomly chosen depending on the depth they spawn on, ofcourse there will be less enemies generally or maybe not. Better hope they aren't viles!

You're allowed to use the pistol to trigger those switches that need to be triggered by shooting if I recall correctly.

I must say, Max Carnage on Nightmare is much more easier then I thought it would be, and after getting ammochain, I pretty much on hitted everything expect Viles.
But then Anachnotrons.. Thise guys are gona give me nightmares.. The damage they deal is just insane on Max Carnage.
Also there were 4 uniques in a row, but I didn't have the time when I had to make a swift escape on level 16 to find the one on that level, with my luck it was probably BFG10k.
Eitherway, I'm gona be trying this again untill I get it.

Depends on your build.
If you're going with a classical and not getting Gun Kata, then use bulk mods and power mods.
If you get Gun Kata, then power and agility mods all the way.
I personaly wouldn't use tech mods on them too much.

It's really a question of style. My play style fits an Army of the Dead build much better than Ammochain. I can't get the rapid-fire build to work well at all, but I dominate the shotgun builds to the point that I thought 'MAD' was overpowered.
After much testing in the betas, I think it's fairly well balanced - several master traits died and were reborn in the development of 0.9.9
Pretty strong point there. I never really found MAD that bad though as it blocks hellrunner which is a heavy blow if you prefer double shotty.
Fanta Hege, that's all assuming you play on the lower difficulties -- and while playing on lower difficulties once you get the trait, you've won anyway ;).
I play regularry on UV and Nightmare unless there's something to unlock to get more things open.
But I guess I'm just crazy then. =P

So as I've been playing this new version and tried out the master traits.. This ammochain one has started to trouble me a bit.
Now don't get me wrong, endless ammo is always awesome for chainguns, but the fact that it effects the plasma gun is making me feel its overpowered.
Earlier plasmagun was one of those precious weapons, you didn't want to waste its ammo until emergencies, you probably wouldn't use it on anything lower then baron. Now with ammochain, you can basicly spam up plasmagun on everything. Specialy since you can chainfire it, this is basicly making even Archvile & Revenant packs a joke.
Basicly, all you ever need is two agility mods (chained court), plasmagun and ammochain and you've basicly won the game unless RNG puts a heavy suprise on you.
The blocked traits don't either give much negative on this trait, why need accuracy or armor when you can just mod those up and your enemies can't even get a good chance to shoot you?

Okay Kornel, since when have Revenant and Archviles started to run away and shoot?
Anyway, this was a pretty succesfull run, mostly due of butchers cleaver and the nanopack. Now I happened to notice that LS alt fire DOES NOT work on the side vaults. I did clear the left one and the middle one but then I ran out. Also the berserk seems to active more often then on 9.8 in here.. Was pretty pleasant suprise. And blademaster made lost souls a joke.
I can't believe how many uniques I got in this round.. Seriously. Too bad this was Berserking.
Eitherways, was a pretty fun run and I'm planning to try this again on UV later on once I get that unlocked.
