Angel of Hallucination:
all icons apart from walls, floors and doors are randomised for icons, colours, sounds and names every level. So you might end up fighting a Baron of hell that looks like a Large Medpack labelled as "Plasma rifle" while making former commando noises. Would encourage extremely cautious play I suspect. Stuff in your inventory would have it's normal name but dropping it would show the name it has on that level.

...I shall fear no evil because the only enemy that could reliably do more than one HP of damage to me was anything bigger than a Baron of hell.
My first victory on 0.9.9.4!! woop!
Power Armour is the bees knees, mutts nutts and whatever other body part of an animal metaphor you'd use. I mean christ as I said, The only enemy that could do more than a single hp of damge to me in a single attack was the baron of hell and the mancubus, although Arachnatrons would do about 6 hp because of their burst firing, same with Former Commandos. Power armour is seriously the best armor in the game as far as I can tell and if you raid the armory and get a nanopack I'd highly recommend it. It doesn't have a move speed penalty unlike red armour, is impossible to destroy and has so much damage reduction that you can essentially ignore any enemy that isn't doing plasma or acid damage.
Also argh! I tried to get a hyperblaster (it's the go-to gun for ammochain because of it's tiny tiny firespeed and increased number of shots from triggerhappy (a plasma rifle will get 2 shots from triggerhappy, an increase of 33%, but a hyperblaster will get 2 shots as well for an increase of 66% in the same firetime!!) but just couldn't find any technical packs anywhere. In the end I just powermodded a plasma rifle to heck in order to blast things to death faster.
Also I found a vault on level one. With two red armors in. Two. On level one. That was pretty cool.
Also Revenents seem to have changed now. Instead of shooting you exactly they shoot a spot near you which will always hit that point, making it possible to dodge and move out of the way now. Seems like a nice change since cluster of revenants will no longer headshot you.

Off Topic / Can't seem to log onto the wiki

When I try to logon to the wiki using the password/username I have here, it doesn't seem to work. I don't know if this is the case for anyone else but It's annoying me a bunch when I find/see something in the new version and then can't go add it to the wiki.
Is anyone else having this problem or knows how to fix it? For what its worth I think it might be a global thing, since only two different people appeared to have editted the wiki in the past thirteen days(!!!).

I decided to try my first AoLT game today, since I'd been trying AoM and AoS a lot recently but kept dying (mainly at hellgate, that entrance is a bitch with only pistols) Had a fairly lucky round up to level 13, as most levels had a convientent berserk pack or supercharge on it somewhere. At level 14 however I almost died to a couple of Barons when I ran out of ammo (I'd been counting on myself to get ammochain by then), ironically these two barons gave me enough xp to get ammochain and I managed to defeat the bruiser bros without too much of a problem.
The next problem was that I didn't get a single Plasma rifle until about Phobos hell 3. This was kinda bad because by then I was fighting mancubuses and revenents and all kind of other nasties which my trusty chaingun bullets were just richochetting harmlessly off. Also, my stalwart [BP] Red armour was beginning to fall apart due to aformentioned badmen. Then I found my First ever NANO PACK! Which allowed me to turn my crummy [BP] armour into cacodemon hating, Daemonophobic, [BNP] Armour (not racist). This armour hated demons so much it would literally stop their bullets making me take as much damage with it's pure, unadulterated hate. Even Archviles seemed drawn to tears by the fact their pathetic attacks were amounting to nothing but half damage. On the other hand it could of just been good armour, I can't really tell.
From there it was essentially blasting everything in the face with plasma until it died and having most weaker attacks ping off me. I took no chances though and nuked the cyberdemon since I didn't want to fight him and die stupidly (I made that mistake with my previous AoSG run :v) Although actually when he wandered over to see what the beeping was from the armed nuke I almost had him. Oh well. My first ever challenge game completed hells yeah

and I didn't even have to use one fighting the cyberdemon. I was gonna nuke him but then realised I had 200% health on entering the map and had over half my inventry as large medkits. Incidently the Onyx armour owns an awful lot. I was gonna put as many power mods on it as I could but only ever got one. Hellgate almost killed me because of the walls coming down. Bruiser brothers died to a hail of BFG blasts. In all, a good run, and my only YAAM run :v

you buy a gun and then stand in doorways firing directly left and right without looking, waiting for the sound that indicates theres a baron of hell in the corner. When someone askes what you are doing you reply "it's okay, I've got ammochain"

perhaps make army of the dead also add +1 to to the max damage of each shotgun pellet? So that 8d3 for the normal shotgun becomes 8d4, and so on.

And fists do very little damage compared to a chainsaw, which is the usual melee weapon to use unless you get the butchers cleaver or the longinus spear, which doesn't help the chace of it happening.

Have it so that with level 2 int, the first time you use a lever is says "After examining this lever you're pretty sure it's an X" without activating it. The lever then has a 75% chance of being what you think it is, and a 25% of being another random lever.

The worst is when you die with a health pack still on you.It's even worse when you have hoarded a ton of medpacks but then get zerg rushed by mancubuses or something when turning a corner and die instantly from full health. That's happened to me before :<
--Ahaha. Yeah, you commented that you still had a medpack while I was typing. Fuse some cells together to make a medpack!

NA stacks in 50s, meaning it is not space efficient, but does mean that ammo types useless for your guns can still be used (ie, ammochain characters could turn all that useless 10mm into rockets or cells for use in the BFG)

NA stacks in 50s, meaning it is not space efficient, but does mean that ammo types useless for your guns can still be used (ie, ammochain characters could turn all that useless 10mm into rockets or cells for use in the BFG)
