Sounds overly cool! Dunno how to give feedback about it, some parts sounds like they could use "louder" instruments, the 2:18 part onward sounds pretty nice, perhaps a "sharper" guitar would sounds cooler tho?

Also take a look at metroidRL, it may show 2.5D better from the start (you have to jump to get into cliffs, etc.)

I think Kornel's disclaimer on the manual states clearly he doesnt want to challenge the property of ID software. Anyway, in the case he had to change the theme of the game, wouldnt you play it anymore? (say, no longer DoomRL but HellRL, with BloodDemons instead of Cacodemons, etc)

The good thing about shotguns is the advantage of hitting non-lined monsters and IMO that's enough for it to be the weapon to keep in the secondary slot :P

Also, the sound of shooting and "releading" a double shotgun is like music to me :D

For some caves, specially the deep hellish ones you may want to find a safe spot and make picnic there til arachnies are roasted or half roasted.

And yes, plasma is only good if you can spare the slots, I used to carry 2 or 3 overchargeds on my pack, just in case an annoying spider got on my way :D

I suggest you play on a harder difficulty so your personal experience with the game grows quicker, dont be afraid to :D

That falls under parody, which is an entirely different section of the law altogether.

That sounds interesting, I wonder if DoomRL could be considered a parody of Doom? :D

Comment 1: If I remember correctly there is a small water area on the first level of Doom, also, all water parts of Doom are shallow pools, arent them?

Oh yes... I had forgotten *sighs* :P

And well... comparing the 7DRL version of CastlevaniaRL and Berserk, I guess Berserk would be better though they share some common points (off course, the cvrl engine was a baby at that time)

[èdit] but CvRL Prelude (and the arena mode on 1.25) were also about fighting to the death
