Bug Reports / Chainfire cannot target...

Playing Ao100, dlevel24, Ammochain build + going for brute/berserker just in case I find a DS.

The following happened when chainfiring my Plasmarifle A3P1:

I fired and killed a monster in position 1 (a doorway, if that matters). Chainfire autotargetted the monster in position 2(also a doorway!), and I hit f to fire again.

As the barrel swiveled around, the shots not lost to the turn landed somewhere around here:

I fired again, and received a lot of "Boom!", my shots seeming to alternate between the two points. Thankfully, after my third volley, a monster appeared in the top doorway, so I switched target to him, and chainfire successfully autotargetted monster #2 this time around.

Bug Reports / Nuking last level in Ao100 bug

I was all set for a YAAM Ao100 (Thanks to Ammochain and lucky Unique Mods) and got overly excited. On level 100, I homing phased, killed the Baron nearby, and dropped my last Thermal. Decended...and didn't get 100% kills. I would suggest that this is because I didn't *actually* decend a level, and thus the monsters didn't actually die. The picture of my "graveyard" implies this, at least.

As you'll note from the Mortem, my original intent was to get the traits I thought would be needed for picking up the Dragonslayer if it spawned...sadly I could not resist the allure of an advanced plasma, fully modded. That and trying to run Ao100 as a AoB run really gets old after a few levels.

I've just notices Former Humans that find Small Health Globes will use them, regardless of their health level.

Now. This is something I really think needs to happen. Spectres. Now don't stop reading. Seriously. It's Doom. It's pretty much the last thing that needs to be put in to make this Doom. I want to make a DoomRL Mod of the Doom Comic, and I want to make a DoomRL Mod of...well, Doom. As close to the levels as can be done. This requires spectres.

I understand that if we get together and mod, we can put spectres in ourselves, once DoomRL becomes moddable. But I'd like to get it put in anyhow. Otherwise it will take more effort. =P

Here's my two cents:
 - Only introduce spectres on levels with barrels.
 - Make them spawn as "." 's. A different colour. Off-black or something.
 - Shooting them/explosions makes them visible for at least ten turns, or forever. They would be dark red "c" 's
 - exactly same stats as demons except for: they're slightly faster, but less health.

Worst comes to worst, when you unlock DoomRL for modding, we'll get them in and show you "the light".

Bug Reports / Empty Inventory Teleport

I was just fiddling around and found an interesting quirk to the empty inventory bug in 0.9.8.10.

If you open an empty inventory your game crashes and saves. Upon reloading you appear on the level you were last on but with a new configuration, as if you've just gone down the stairs. All stats of monsters from previous crashes are added (hence you'll get a really low percentage if you keep doing this).

However, if you happen to open an empty inventory on Phobos Base 1, upon continuing you'll automatically appear on Phobos Base 2.
