Or just make do with Skype, a streaming client, and GameTable or something of the sort. That's what I did for a while.

Quill, who until then had been sitting quietly and trying to let the last meal settle, took the opportunity to speak up.

"They tried to poison us, by enchanting the mess on the table to look like a feast," she said, standing up and pointing at the puddle and what remained of Bortek with her flail. "But Quill is not so easily tricked. And now Quill has serious doubts about where their loyalties were. Probably safer this way. Who knows what else they might have tried."

Quill, meanwhile, took to trying on the gauntlets. They looked rather comically oversized on her hands, but the metal did seem to mould itself to fit better.

She also did her best to clean the blood off her armor. Mithral could be such a pain to clean once you let blood dry on it...

What - no handshake and introduction?!

Come on, man, you can't expect every random mook we kill to have a name and a backstory...

For a few moments Quill looked like she might actually finish off the arm she had, but after some consideration threw it away.

"Quill is still hungry, but Quill has no appetite now. For that, Quill is going to find king and shove his ice stick where the sun doesn't shine so hard, he'll cough it up when Quill hits him," she promised.

Not one to be put off by the potential risks of a feast laid out in the place like this, Quill grabs up a piece of roast meat off the table and gets to eating, in between bandaging up her own wounds.

"Sho, how'sh thsh ritshual sh'poshd to work?" she asked, obviously not having picked up yet on the idea that you shouldn't talk while eating.

I'm using two surges to heal up, should put me back at max health. Also willing to go along with the ritual.

I don't know, I was too busy looking at the food.

Quill had a hard time tearing her eyes away from the table and its contents.

"Quill thinks so much wonderful food shouldn't be allowed to go to waste," she said, and was supported in this matter by the loud growling of her stomach.

I have a small question, before getting into story and such - was Bortek alive? Before we beat him to a pulp, I mean. Was there bleeding and such... will roll on a skill if needed to determine.

Just trying to figure out how safe all that wonderful, wonderful food is to eat.

Those last three words are particularly important - it means that until next turn, he doesn't have to worry about being marked by me, since I'm not next to the sod.

Quill was getting tired of the barbarian refusing to fall down and be bludgeoned to death. She did her best to help him along with that, swinging the flail into the man's gut.

She got hit back for her efforts, sure, but it'd be that much easier for her to follow up with another blow afterwards, she consoled herself as she picked herself up off the floor.

Standard: Villain's Menace at F8. Target is marked until end of Quill's next turn. Quill has +2 to hit and +4 to damage against the target until the end of the encounter. Be afraid.
--action interrupted--
Move: Stand up.

Well, if Isirius does want to shift away, the option is there.

"Quick! Go around, hit him in the back!" Quill shouted, and rolled off the table to smash the barbarian in the kneecap with her flail.

Move: Shifty Maneuver: All allies within 2 squares can shift 1 square as a free action. Quill will shift into F7 as soon as Gosok vacates it.
Standard: Steel Serpent Strike on F8, the target is slowed and cannot shift until the end of my next turn. Target is also marked, same duration.

Question to Gosok's player: if I fire off Shifty Maneuver, could I get you to shuffle over to G8 for some tasty, tasty flanking action?

Isirius will also get to shift 1 square - ideally away from the guy with the big axe.

Quill remains persistent in her efforts to bash the dire wolf into submission, smacking it over the head once again with her flail. At least the table gave her enough height to reach the head.

Same old Crushing Surge on F8, same old mark until end of next turn.
