The next sound issue is from the latest version only (0.9.9.2).  When playing with the Dual Gunner perk, I can no longer hear each pistol's shot being fired independently of the other on any given turn.  The two shots happen so near to each other that it sounds to me as if only one pistol is firing.  This is very dissatisfying because I no longer get a sense that both guns are firing each turn, and I now worry about the possibility of one gun being empty while the other is not, since the firing sound no longer seems any different when two pistols are firing at once than it does when only one pistol is firing.  None of the other version have had this issue on my system.  I can't imagine why this would have been changed intentionally, so I'm guessing it unknowingly came along with some other change. 
This is not a bug. The sound of the second pistol firing is played a moment after the first shot, resulting in a more loud shot sound. This is how things should work, because when you're firing two pistols at once, you do NOT fire first pistol, then fire second. You fire them both at the same moment. And while you have DG, you will always fire both pistols while you have ammo in both, and you will have equal amounts of ammo in both if you don't use any bulk mods or not semi-auto GCB. This feature does not bring dissatisfaction, there is nothing more satisfying than the knowledge that your shots are now twice more loud, twice more strong, twice more brutal.

At the very most, it will just cause a standard explosion distributing the bomb fuel.  Nukes explode only because some critical number of nuclear reactions have reached, and most designs usually make sure that this isn't the case until the nuke is actually deployed.
Oh please, don't you think that if real nuclear bomb would explode, only one level of the base would explode? After the explosion of the real nuclear bomb, a small city gets obliterated at least. So I totally agree with this suggestion, but we can't discuss is this logical or not because in real life there aren't any weapons that act like the thermie from DoomRL.

I supposed that targeting out of vision was restricted intentionally, because you can actually shoot faster when you see the target, and you need to aim carefully to make the bullet fly out of your vision. So now if you're corner-shooting, you need to face some troubles. It's like asking 'Spawn the combat shotgun on the level 2 and arena on level 3, because it's annoying to restart the game after it doesn't spawn'.

The knockback is the case of some bugs at least in the previous version, where you were able to negate Cyberdemon's damage fully using Fireangel. But that was a known bug and it is strange that it isn't fixed already.

Another thing that might be the case of the problem is that knockback calculates after every shot out of your 5, and thus damage dropoff is different for every of your 5 shots. And as far as I know, firestorm modded DBS is a bug, so if you do this, "use it at your own risk".

And I don't think that the fact that you can't one-shoot caco's makes them be that bad. Shotguns are meant to be crowd-controllers, so if you do enough damage to nearly kill one caco, you'll deal the same damage to every caco in your shot radius, which is already big enough to out-perform most weapons in the same situation.

I think the thing that is worth implementing is the mission system. Now the only goal in the AliensRL is to kill the queen. If we had a main plot with the couple of hard missions, different for each class, and a couple of side missions for each tower except main - that would rank up AliensRL a lot.

It started as an ordinary MAc run. Until level 4, where I've found the Blaster. Not long after that, I've got a level in EE, and after that - assembled a high power blaster. And by that time, I've understood who is going to win this game. Because my firing speed was 0.2 sec, and that meant (2d7+6)x5 damage per second, resulting in a maximum of 100 damage, good knockback, and no need of ammo. Nothing was actually a problem by that time.

Until level 87, where I was reckless enough to pull a summon lever. And I was rewarded. Rewarded with 2 Cyberdemons, Nightmare cacodemon, Baron of Hell and one other monster. But even that was not a big trouble for me, because I had intuition, and so I phased out and trapped Cybies with lava. They were trying to get to me, but their way was blocked by the lava, which they were not able to pass.

Anyway, the main point of this run - the blaster deserves the status of the Unique, for how powerful it is now, when assemblies are possible.

BTW, I suppose the Berserker armor really does nothing - Kornel included it to steal extra inventory slot from anyone who believes that it actually does something.

High power plasma + 2 x Th + 3 x SoaB + MAc ((1d10+3)*8)= roughly the same damage as BFG (10d8) AND no need of ammo. It possesses the power of absolute and ultimate destruction, making it so good that even it's lack of accuracy doesn't darken it's shining power. On HNTR everything and everywhere gets pwned immediately after you get this rifle.

Edit: Knockback is the blessing in most cases, unless it's melee or some other cases. So the fact that Phase set grants increased knockback is a good side, not bad.

Inventory description: An armour with a medikit built-in.
Protection: 2
Durability: 150%
Move Speed: -10%
Knockback: +0%
Special: Heals you by 1HP/sec. When amount healed reaches 100HP armor eats a large medpack. If a small medpack used at full health armour gets a small boost to durability.
Regeneration. Useful sometimes.

I've once suggested that thingy that boosts your medpack eating ability, and gives you the chance to heal in battle, while having almost identical to blue armor stats. As for me, this armor has more obvious and useful properties than the current medical armor. If 1 HP/sec is too few to make it really worthy, this number should be upped.
