Makes sense - but I so like the quick indicator that I'm standing in something dangerous and not water without having to use the 'look' feature.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with this myself. I'd hate to wade through a sea of =s only to have my invuln run out and find out that oops - I'm in lava!
