Could brute also increase hit chance of throwing knifes please?

Maybe one of the classes could have a knife throwing build? Or make malicious blades increase hit chance of knife throws too?

I just had a pretty embarrassing YASD because I thought the sergeant was further than he really was because of the font - he was above me by a couple of spaces and I decided to just wing it. Unfortunately he was nearer than I thought and my lack of health caught up with me. It's rather hard to judge distances because of the font. I'm wondering if anybody uses a squarish terminal font to alleviate this problem? Something like this from X@COM:

Quick question: do enemies still converge to the center of the map? I recall they did in the older builds but things seem to have changed. I skipped altogether but the AI seems to be different now as HA seems different.

But with the bruiser brothers just running around them is a good tactic - unless you're trying for Strongman Diamond/Platinum which require 100% kills.

Another question: is there any way at all to lure enemies other than giftdropping?  I haven't got there yet on a fist only run, but from doing knife  runs the mancubi/vile packs always gave me fits when going for YAAM.

Can you actually do that??? The things you learn... Does that work for cybie too?

Maybe soften them up with a few shotgun blasts around the corner first?

That's a good idea... I wish I'd thought of that myself :)

I like this build a lot! Gonna give it a shot later. Great use of MSc!

Uggh... I'm trying for the Sunrise Iron Cross on ITYTD but the bruiser brothers keep owning me. What's the best way to do that fight without taking too much damage? I'm playing the standard Bru->Bru->Ber, I think I took them on when I was level 3? Is that too underleveled or is something wrong with the way I do it? I usually run up to them, place myself in the middle, and wail away.

OT, but elephant gun seems like such a waste of 2 power mods... I mean, power mods being so rare and all. The unmodded double shotty always felt like a much more powerful beast compared to the elephant gun.

Seconded! I often get confused when trying to get the correct mods onto the correct items. Somehow my fingers get 'garbled' when switching armors/weapons if that makes sense. I often need to double check that yes, I have indeed swapped to a red armor before placing a bulk mod on it. Adding the option to mod items in inventory would really help this often confusing process (for me).

A little OT, but I really like the idea of a run-time counter. It would make things more transparent, especially for builds that rely on running, ie some AoSg builds.

've been playing DoomRL for quite a while now, just registered to post a question because I still don't understand shotgun mechanics well. Specifically, the double shotgun - is it and its kin considered as rapid-fire shotguns, since they fire 2 shots in succession? I'm asking because the most recent changelog states something quite crazy imo - Trigger Happy now works with rapid-fire shotguns. Does the DS get the benefit of TH and fire 3 shells instead of 2?
