Title: buggy monsters inventory.

Recently i came across a weird situation:
I've entered a city-like level and got message about unique on level. Lickily it was like 3 squares from the edge of my FOV, but there was Baron standing nearby. I've backed off, but when i've returned, the unique was not there. I suppose baron picked it up, but when i killed him, he didn't drop it. I am sure it wasn't blown up, as  neither have i used explosive weapon nor were there acid barrels. Baron didn't shoot explosive missle.

I think this is a bug. Normally if u kill a mob which roams aroung the level and collects items, it drops them on the ground. Anyway, it doesn't seen to be that way with uniques, or hellbarons. Was it supposed to qork like that or not?

The most likely explanation for this is that the unique was armor and the baron wore it.  In the process of killing him, you did enough damage to destroy the equipped armor.

I don't think monsters can wear armour.

Anyone who hasn't fought a red armor wearing BoH or Commando hasn't really played DoomRL! :p

Tip: don't drop AA if you're not sure the level is empty -_-.

I'd argue that anyone who is desperate enough for space that he'll drop the AA is beyond caring, one way or the other :p

in a recent game i found a baron armor that was only in 9% repaired. Baron of hell must have wear it and when i killed him there was only 9 % of armor left :D
