As you can see, I was so f****** unlucky to find several revenants near not one Archvile, as one could believe by seeing this mortem, but TWO of them. Two, in the same room, with several Revenants. At first, I was able to hold my own, blasting one of the Archviles and several Revenants into oblivion with my trusty shotty, but then the other came and revived the damn skeletons one after another... who proceeded to blow me with the guided missiles.

... And I was so close of entering the Mortuary -.-

An Assault Shotgun modded with A1 is a waste of both mod slot and agility mod, because this mod has absolutely no effect on the shotgun.
When you feel that you're fighting an Arch-Vile and you don't see it, it's best to run as fast as you can. Corner-shoot as much as you can and hope for the best. Seeing enemies is the worst thing to do in this situation.
SoB isn't the best trait for the shotgun run. Shotguns do enough damage on their own, and the thing which is required from the player is survivablity.
Anyway, it's always funny to have a level with only one room of monsters. I once had a helish city with only one small block fully filled with V/R. I decided to storm it using Gothic set and TaNx3, and I failed quite quickly.

MAD runs limit your choices considerably, since you've already gotten Rel and TaN, and Fin/HR/EE are all blocked: the only things left are Iro or SoB (or I GUESS you could add the thirds in Rel/TaN, but surely the unpicked options are better than those). Typically I take Iro first for the survivability (and because MAD does cover a lot of your damage concerns), but SoB comes after for sure. The extra damage points are tacked on regardless of range, so the stuff that's normally hitting just one could potentially hit at four instead.

Man, that really sucks how you got a sniper mod on AoSg. Been looking for one of those for a long time m'self (which is to say they're fixed in the beta). You can use firestorm stuff, which sniper technically includes in 0.9.9.1, to make double shotguns hit more times, without any extra shell cost to you. F3 super shotgun got someone through Ao100 pretty easily, if I recall correctly.

speaking of shotgun mods, what would a nano pack do to a double/super shotgun? if you fire it while it only has one shell, I assume it counts as a single fire.  But the super shotgun doesn't have a single-fire mode.
