The graphic version is a little more difficult than the ASCII version. It took me five tries to win.
I entered Tower of Babel and Dis while invulnerable.
The Agony Elemental didn't drop anything.

I disagree with the fact that the graphics version is harder. Here's why:
- You can see the outlines of rooms from outside the room, so you can figure out the layout easier.
- Enemies that were in your view but move out of it can be seen briefly, and you can see which way they went.
- Items on the ground are much easier to identify outside of view, or during Berserk, Enviro, or Invul. Also, large health globe and berserk packs look different, and can be distinguished more easily.
- Firing with the mouse allow for greater targeting precision (you can control the path a little more since you can target a space far outside your line of sight).
- Mouse running does most pathfinding for you and works as a run command (which makes it stop when an enemy is in sight).
- Targeting help give an idea of what can and can't shoot at you (You're able to fire as if you are one space away from your current position, which is how corner shooting works. Enemies can't.).
- Green X: They can fire at you if they are in range.
- Red X, Green Brackets: They can't fire at you, but you can.
- Red X, Red Brackets: They can't fire at you, be you might be able too (Brackets go red out of line of sight).
- Mouse plus keyboard makes some commands (like looking) much faster, making speedrun badges/medals easier.
Ways the game might be harder in Graphics mode:
- Intuition 2 marks are black during berserk, and thus invisible if they are in unexplored regions. However, they show up on the minimap as red dots, so it's not completely broken during Berserk.
- Except for the minimap, you can't see the entire map at once. It might be a little hard to determine what part of the map you're in (although fullscreen mitigates this a lot).

What you have to remember is that it's also a "getting used to it" thing.
We've had the graphics version for say...150 hours now, whereas we've had the ASCII version for at least a couple of years!

Weird, I play better in the graphical version. Probably the familiar Doom visuals. And the things shark posted.
