Bug Reports / Re: DoomRL typos

"You are hit!  That hurt!  You' going berserk!" should probably be "You are hit!  That hurt!  You're going berserk!"

Saved games are actually deleted the moment you load them: this is, if I'm not mistaken, typical roguelike saving behavior. You can save-scum (that is, copy the save file) before loading it, ensuring you have a backup.

I think this may actually be atypical in PC roguelikes; NetHack, Angband, and DCSS, at least, all keep the file around and just delete it on player death.  Presumably this is so the game can be recovered in the event of a game crash, power outage, or other such failure.  I'm not sure this is as necessary for DoomRL, though (losing an Angband save mid-game is rather more devastating than losing a DoomRL save, since it's so much longer).

Thanks!  Though I wonder if that'll make rocket jumping with Fireangel completely ridiculous...

I do wish there was a way to turn off the game music so I could play my own tracks in the background, though; or maybe replace the game music with my music. I like (most) of the new music, I just wish I could hear my stuff as well.

You already can.  Just drop your music files into the mp3 folder and edit musichq.lua accordingly with a text editor.  Maybe keep a pristine copy of musichq.lua around in case you accidentally mess it up (good general practice for such things).

Fairly self-explanatory report; I took the Fireangel trait on my most recent run in 0.9.9.6, and still took what seemed like full damage from nearby explosions.  Firing a rocket launcher at a wall several squares away damaged me, as did taking indirect hits from enemy explosives.

Really impressive work on the graphical release!  I think this'll be one of the relatively few roguelikes I prefer playing with tiles.
