The lady who was calling herself Laril Shadow brooded as she checked the bug detector in her hand and laid down on her bunk. Why didn't she listen to her doubts when it came to accepting this fishy contract? But no, she was tempted by the credits, and now she was stuck on this decrepit, failing Imperial ship. It will be the greatest of ironies if after evading Vader and his agents for so long, I still end up perishing in Imperial hands...in the hands of their failing maintenance crew. But there was no point agonizing over it. Unless she decided to somehow commandeer one of the ship's shuttles to escape, but times weren't desperate enough for that...yet.
Instead, her thoughts turned to the walk she took one day ago. "I really think I saw Colin in one of the cells," she said out loud.
Bright purple letters appeared on her datapad. YOU ARE STATING THAT YOU BELIEVE YOUR EYES DETECTED COLIN KARR, YOUR CHIEF MISSION SUPERVISOR FROM 32:1:20 TO 32:7:34, IN ONE OF THE PRISONER CONTAINMENT ROOMS ABOARD THIS VESSEL?
"I think so, yes. Mmm, if it's really him, there are so many questions I want to ask him."
WOULD IT NOT BE LOGICAL TO CONFIRM WHETHER OR NOT YOUR PERCEPTIONS ARE AUTHENTIC BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS LINE OF INQUIRY?
"Hah. No, you're right. I should check before thinking too much about this. The problem is, it's probably a huge risk to go back in such a short time. They'd remember I was through there before and check if I was authorized. Then I'd be in trouble."
THAT IS A REASONABLE DEDUCTION. IN THAT CASE SHOULD I GO AND CONFIRM YOUR PERCEPTIONS FOR YOU?
"You know, that could work. I've seen a lot of astromechs coming and going every corridor on this ship. I need to patch up this hole in your shell, though, so you don't stand out that much."
I AM GRATEFUL. ALTHOUGH IT IS ILLOGICAL THAT I SHOULD ALLOCATE ANY CONSIDERATION TO SUCH COSMETIC MATTERS THAT DO NO AFFECT MY CAPACITY TO OPERATE, MY PREFERENCES ARE TO BE "WHOLE".
"Indeed, sorry for doing that to you. It is a rather large hole."
I DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE NEED TO APOLOGIZE. IT WAS A LOGICAL ACTION TO CREATE A REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR THE EMP DETONATION IN THIS ROOM TO DISABLE ANY SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT. I ESTIMATE A PROBABILITY OF AT LEAST SEVENTY-FOUR POINT TWO PERCENT THAT YOUR OVERSEER WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EXPLANATION HAD YOU NOT DAMAGED MY EXTERIOR.
"Right, right. Power down for a bit while I finish the repairs, will you?"
-------------------
"There, all fixed up."
MY SHELL IS ONCE AGAIN A CONTINUOUS SURFACE. I EXPRESS MY THANKS.
"Alright, go take a peek, if you can. Be careful, though. It's more important to stay undetected than to find him."
ROGER. MISSION PARAMETERS ESTABLISHED.
"I'm going to the mess hall to get some food. And see if maybe I can liberate someone's rank cylinder or find some other means of prison access. See ya later."
Zal will head towards Cellblock B, and search to identify the cell in which Colin is held while trying to stay inconspicuous. Fathima will head to the mess hall to have a meal and try to see if she can quickly borrow an appropriate crew member's rank cylinder to clone for access to the prison cells, while keeping her mind open for other options into the cells. If the opportunity arises, she'll read the lips of the prison guards on their meal breaks, or even go up to some of them and talk to them.

I don't know what kind of outcome you were expecting. If a trooper is standing guard, and you draw your pistol, of course he will shoot. Did you expect to talk or force him to back down? Think about what you would do if you were the trooper, or ANYONE, if you're already holding a gun, aimed, and the person you're aiming for goes for his/her own weapon.
In any case, you don't have the "I bet you have" Asset, so drawing your pistol will take time. Enough time for a trooper who is already aiming at you to shoot. And even if you did have that Asset, it just signifies that you can draw your pistol pretty quickly, not that it magically appears in your hand. When someone is covering you with a weapon, they're SPECIFICALLY ALERT for any actions you take that might threaten them, and drawing your weapon is one of such actions.
I'm sorry that you were killed so early in the game. But it's the outcome that makes sense, considering your actions. When you drew your weapon in front of the trooper that was covering you, there was other no logical outcome than him shooting you.
If I (in real life, perhaps) run into a soldier with his weapon drawn, I'm not going to try to bring out my gun so I can force him to talk. I'm going to do whatever the hell he says - because in a split second he could kill me, and death kinda sucks, you know? Maybe later on when for some reason he's not paying attention or turns his back I could pull something off, but not when he's watching me, that's for sure.
Fathima's clothes are currently dark grey, but there's nothing specifically Imperial beyond that.
Fathima put all thoughts of Colin behind her, focusing her mind on the here and now.
Sithspawn, she thought, as her new focus finally led her to realize the meaning of the distinct alert that had been going on all this time. The area was being locked down. But no, with the power failing, would the seals hold? After all, the energy containment fields had all but disappeared. Well, there was no point in worrying about things you couldn't control. Checking in with Zal, she proceeded onwards in the direction it directed, hoping that the route would remain clear.
As she warily turned another corner, she saw two figures in the distance. It looked like a pilot was covering an escapee with her weapon. If she continued to play the role she had adopted, she would have to... No. With all the cells open, she might run across a crowd of Rebels or other prisoners. They probably wouldn't take to kindly to an intelligence agent among them. What to do then? There weren't many other explanations for why she was here. Instead, she decided to appeal to the survival instincts. Still, being careful - she drew one of her holdout pistols in one hand and aimed it forwards, while covering it with her other hand, appearing to casually hold her hands in front of her.
"What are you two doing standing there? I know you have your differences, but with the explosions throughout them ship, let's put them aside for now and run for the escape pods. Wait, you're a pilot - and the shuttles are closer. I can access the direct turbolifts if we go together."
Fathima let her breath out slowly as the ship entered hyperspace. This contract had definitely become much more than she bargained for. And with the Canceron destroyed...she probably wouldn't even get paid. It was so frustrating to be a passenger - having no ability to influence whether she lived or died.
She let the trooper help her up as she thought over what she had noticed on the sensor displays. "Do the ship names 'Astral Queen' and 'Scar' mean anything to you? Why would they, I mean, our own people attack us? And those strange red colored TIE fighters - the power output of their lasers was much higher than usual. What special task force could this be?"
She got up and followed the trooper until the pilot spoke angrily of the damage to the ship. "Wait, the state of our ship's probably more important than our prisoners when it comes to our survival," she said to the trooper, then called out to the pilot, "We better check out the damage, then. See if there's anything we can repair."
Intelligence d8 + Tech d6 + Attuned to Technology d2 if anything's repairable
Now that the group was just the five of them, Fathima felt far less inclined to obey the trooper. Especially when she couldn't see the sense in his plan. "Take the prisoners with us while we search? That's going to slow us down, unless you were planning on freeing them." Without consulting the trooper, she activated the shuttle's ramp and brushed by him.
"C'mon, Zal," she called to her loyal droid. "Let's see what this place offers." The pair of them stepped outside and reached out with their various senses.
Zal - perfect echolocation - map out the local area
Zal - Alertness d12 + Perception (Tracking) d8 - check if anyone's been around the area recently
Zal - Alertness d12 + Survival (Foraging) d8 - see if there's anything around can be turned into food or water
Fathima - Willpower d12 + d2 + Force Training d6 - force sense for nearby sentients
Fathima sighed at the new information, then spoke, "C'mon, rebel - time to pull your weight." When he seemed reluctant to follow her, she grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him back to the shuttle to the cargo hold, away from the others. Though one would not expect such a small lady to have the strength to drag someone around, she was well versed in the location of pressure points and knew how to use them.
The two disappeared back into the shuttle, then re-emerged moments later, the rebel now also carrying a much larger backpack. Fathima pulled out a fancy-looking canteen and held it out in the air for a few moments, then unscrewed the top and looked inside. She smiled when she found that it was functioning the way it was designed, probably for the first time since this whole adventure began.
3 plot point -> (a very effective, given the humidity) condensing canteen
And so you set off.
CX was leading the way- he was the only one to ever before visit Felucia, and even if he did not have any fond memories of it, he would be the only one to have any idea what to do, and where to go.
Soon, you entered thick mushroom jungle. Almost no sunlight was getting past the gargantuan caps, so you marched in twilight. It was an... uncanny experience. Bizarre animals were watching from a safe distance, and you had no idea, if they were going to attack, or just observe. And there were no silence, no tranquillity. The sounds emitted by flora and fauna alike filled the air with with sounds so alien... More than a few times, you saw signs of passage made by beings that could only be described as huge. And judging by the half-eaten, and half-decayed remains of various prey scattered around, not very friendly.
What else should be mentioned? Large insects buzzing around your heads? The stench of decaying tissue? Flowers in all known hues?
Indeed, you were able to watch nature in it's true form. Brutal, unforgiving, passionate.
When the small Felucian sun set, you were half-way to your destination. You were all tired, to much too tired continue your journey, so you set up camp on a tiny glade, surrounded by strange, blueish plants. Sadly, none of you had any sort of tent, nor anything to cover yourself, and shield yourselves from the environment.
CX, having no need to sleep, took the watch, as rest of you tried to make yourselves as comfortable as possible on the mushy ground.
In the morning, you were all badly thirsty and hungry, but, thankfully, nothing worse happened to you... until Vince vomited all he had in his stomach, mixed with some blood, that is. Apparently, he got bitten by something, and hence the effects.
Heavy, tropical rain then started.
Vince is now suffering from very fast and rather deadly Felucian disease. He is suffering one stun damage per hour, and, after every twelve hours, he has to roll his Resistance against difficulty of 11. If failed, he decreases his Vitality by one step (and resistance with it!). When vitality reaches 0, he collapses, and starts taking one wound damage per hour. One does of antibiotics gives him d12 to all resistance rolls for next 24 hours. After two passed resistance checks, disease in no longer dangerous.
Also, since Vince got infected due to his Rotten Luck (khe khe), and the sickness is deadly, he get three plot points.
Supplies:
Food: still for four days of travel
Water: canteen...
Medical: CX's medpack, with three doses of antibiotic in it
Before you could start your march again, a faint sound was heard, some kind of rustle. CX turned around to see what caused it...
Then it started. Before anyone could react, a large, greyish creature leaped from the mushrooms, overwhelming Fathima. Blood sprayed everywhere as it tore the woman's jugular. Worse still, you could clearly hear howls and growls from behind your back. Closing in very fast...
Fathima is dead, Vince unarmed.
There are two creatures behind you, approximately 10 meters from you, and one on Fathima's corpse.
Initiative:
Creature one: 17
Creature two: 11
Vince and CX both: 10
Fahima's killer: 7
Creature one and two spent their turns running towards you.
Vince and CX fired simultaneously. The creature eating Fathima howled, as bolts burnt it's back. Then, it quickly turned, and jumped into the foliage, disappearing again. Meanwhile, CX tried to gun down oncoming beasts. Despite firing for more than three seconds, creatures proved to be exceptionally nimble, dodging most of the fire-storm. One of them, however, got slightly grazed, and stayed back a bit, allowing the second to lunge.
It launched forward, trying to pin CX to the ground, as its mate did to Fathima. However, seasoned clone managed to dodge the beast, and got only one, deep scratch, as it landed next to him.
Fathima's Doom runs away, CX got 1W damage
Vince, already weakened by the disease fell on the mushy soil. Jedi approached him and helped him up.
'It was unnecessary.' she said.
'You're wrong.' replied Triz, smiling. 'And I guess that I must thank you, whoever you are' she gazed at CX. 'This guy is clearly hallucinating. And appears to be sick, in both meanings of this word.'
The zabrak closed down on you.
'You can have problems acquiring spare parts here. If you hoped for salvaging wrecks, then I'm sad to inform you that it was already done, several times, so it is highly doubtful that you'll manage to find anything useful there.
'You may, however, try to reach Galazi's Refuge. It is not *that* far from my dwelling, to which I now invite you, and, if I am not wrong, you can buy a lot there, if you have creds, that is. So?'
Two plot points for Vince and one for CX. 5 Advancement points to both of them.
