Title: Small plea regarding the forum
Post by: Malek Deneith on October 14, 2009, 04:59: Dear Kornel. I know this is a hard and busy time both with your PC dying and last DoomRL betas going on before the release, but I have a thing to ask:

Could you please, please, please remove the fixed forum width that came with forum upgrade/new theme? It's annoying even on my 1280 screen width (partly because I have right part of the screen taken by tabs), and I suspect that people with non-widescreen monitors aren't too happy about it either.

The problem is that due to various tab-overload issues I decided to use an addon that moves my tabs to the side (rather than top) and that eats a chunk of my space

And isn't that something that is set in theme? (in other words it should be edditable... I hope >_>)

1) Not everyone has widescreen yet :P

2) "Fixed width" is generally a bad idea (with exception of situations where you have that absolutly avesome banner and want everything aligned perfectly with it ;) )

This is the truth!

I've got a 1600*1200 screen and the good old 2.0.0.20 Firefox and no problems with the forum width.

WE HAVE F9 PEOPLE LEARN TO USE IT!
