Title: Armor Sets?
Post by: Aki on October 07, 2009, 05:56
While scumming my AoB run to get to the Vaults, (Boo! Hiss! But I was doing a 100% run and wanted a seperate run to the vaults and cbf to do it all again!), I came across both the Phaseshift Boots AND Armour.

When Putting both on, I got the message "You float off the ground!" or something to that effect. I was then impervious to Lava/Acid.

So what do you think that the Gothic set would do? :>

By pure coincidence, I just found both on another run! RNG loves me today!

When you put on both Gothic items, you get this message: Suddenly you feel imobilized. You feel like a fortress! And you cannot move. Your protection skyrockets through the roof, taking one damage from every attack (Or is that just the Gothic Armour?). When you take it off you get the message "You feel agile and less protected". Armour degrades as normal.

That's amazing. Is this in 9.8.10, or 9.9.?

9.9, but I totally forgot whether Sets were in 9.8.10 or not.

Well, Phaseshift and Gothic Armor and Boots are in 9.8.10, but I haven't ever gotten a set(i.e both the boots and the armor) so I don't know if it would work. I'm wondering if I should try it, or wait for Kornel to komment (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm listening to a podcast that mentioned Mortal Kombat)

Check the Item description - It should say something like "Phaseshift Set - 1/2"

Actually, I don't think it'll matter, because I'm waiting for 0.9.9.

Don't worry, it'l be out soon.

As soon as we make some balance changes >:(

Oh hell.

...What needs to be balanced?

Oh hell.

Let's just say that some things started out as awesome but were not that carefully crafted... And a whole set of "things" was, IMO, broken by 9.8.10 and might even be left broken until 9.9.1 or 1.0 if there won't be enough consent.

I think things would really speed up if we had a few more active and innovative beta testers...

Aw, c'mon - remember that you donate as much as you want and gain access regardless of the amount. Show Kornel that you care, even if it would just mean $5 (that's roughly the cost of a BigMac with fries, right?).

Forget that! I really want to help Kornel, but I can't spare too much. I'm going to ask my mom if I can donate $10...

Good news for Kornel! I'm going to help my dad on Sunday, and he says he'll allow me to donate some money!

I don't want to xP. The manual Snipping Tool makes it look a bit more artistic.

I sure CAN. Then again - why would I do that when I simply want to cut something out with the Snipping Tool ? It gives me everything I need right off the bat.

Way to turn this into a serious discussion about paint, Vestin :P

We can discuss what art or beauty is, if you'd like ^^'. Passed my Aesthetics 101 last semester... and am on a "Art in the Digital Age" course ATM. There's nothing like like having a PhD WoW player as a lecturer, I can tell you that...

I'm really getting a kick out of it. Most of all - the guy's attitude is fantastic.
BTW - do you know Plato's Cave ?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
We had a hilarious misunderstanding featuring that. A guy pointed out that the prisoners were chained in the cave, while we "descend to it", by enjoying the media and the Internet, out of out own accord (thus he assumed that the cave represents the media). It went absolutely over the lecturer's head, and the answer was quite vaguely pointing that the metaphor in this case is used pretty imprecisely... while in his following remark he elaborated on the subject in such a way that it was clear that he views the real life as the cave and our virtual realities of the web and the media as the world outside of the cave.

That is pretty hilarious, although it almost went over my head.
