its good to break the habit of feeling like you need to kill everything, it tends to get in the way of survival on the later difficulties.

leveling up increments the value of a particular byte in your computer's RAM. This tends to correspond to a change in the player's mental perception of the attributes of his character.

Whoops! Looks like I am a Bad Poster.

Angel of Doom III - all open spaces are replaced with tiny corridors with no room to dodge.  All paths are completely linear. Your vision radius fluctuates between 5 and 0. 1 to 3 imps spawn in every room/hallway. Whenever you step on a medpack or armor monsters spawn around you. All the monster glyphs are scarier looking.

What the heck is with this hex editing stuff? I'm talking about fixing the bug in future versions, not playing with the guts of my current binary :P

e - p. cool that you know how to do that though

I want to have a better chance to one-shot those R's and V's with my MAD-powered double shotty :P

Wouldn't the ideal fix for the bug be to make the damage indicator true without increasing shell use? Would be more work to implement though.

Actually, it's more like 20d4 instead of 10d12. First of all, the multiplier you see after your damage numbers? That's limited by the number of shots you have in your gun when you fire (the multiplier is actually how many times the gun will try to fire). Second of all, the first number in xdy is how many dice are rolled, the second is the size of the die. If the multiplier wasn't broken, you won't be rolling ten twelve-sided dice, you'd be rolling ten four-sided dice three times (as it is, you're rolling them twice).

Is there any word on when this bug might be fixed (it is considered to be a bug right?). Just found out about it after my 13 billionth failed shottyman gold attempt and am kind of pissed off at being cheated out of my damage.

How about this modification that I suggested in the gun kata thread -
Angel of Alzheimers (or Forgetfulness or something)
Start the game with 15 traits of your choosing - Every time you level up you pick a trait to lose a level in.

Well, after a while, it's diminishing returns. I wonder if we should have an Angel of Wisdom, where you start with 20 traits but can't level further...

Angel of Alzheimer's - start with 15/20 traits and choose which one to lose on each levelup / downstair

HOW DID ZOMBIES LEARN TO RUN SOOOOOO FAST?
iN THE 80'S THEY DIDN'T RUN, NOW THEY ARE ALL ON RED BULL OR SOMETHING.

I prefer putting points into finesse/whizkid and SoB, especially on higher difficulties where dodging isn't all that useful. Particularly now that dodgemaster has been nerfed fixed.

This should include no schematics on angel of purity.

Discussion / Why was exp for lever enemies removed?
« on: April 11, 2011, 11:20 »
Doesn't make much sense to me. Is it just so that these levers are unequivocally bad? I feel cheated now when I pull one of these, since at least beforehand if I survived I got something out of it.

edit - Well now I feel dumb... checked recent posts to see that someone literally just posted about this topic in another thread. Sorry!

I thought cyberdemons appeared in numbers in Ao100. At least in the next version ?_?
