Title: Doom Guy's Mind: Episode 7

In case you don't know it, Freeman's Mind (http://www.accursedfarms.com/movies/fm/) is a brilliant series of videos, going through the original Half Life with narration of what's going on in Gordon Freeman's mind (thus the name, duh). If you don't know it, be sure to watch it, though it's quite a time sink. New episodes pop up from time to time, but the process is slow unfortunately, and there seem to be some legal difficulties going on right now, so the latest episodes are delayed.

Anyway, on April 1, the author made a one-shot video of Doom Guy's mind which is exactly what it say on the tin. I'd say the narration is easily on par with the infamous Doom comic. (And no, there are no parts 1-6)

I love it - although the writing isn't on par with the originality of the comic - I wish it were :(

I never saw the original comic, but the guy who did this manages to make Duke Nukem sound sophisticated. I love a good rant as much as the next guy, but there's just no ingenuity to it, no fun. Not my cup of f&*$#% tea.

Of course, the original comic is a masterpiece. I'm not surprised people today can't quite match it's quality.

When you're all alone on a God-forgotten Phobos base, you'll start talking with yourself. Duke at least had a chick to come home to. And some more trapped by aliens to probably play with. The Doomguy has nothing, so it's more normal for him to sound crazy.

BTW, what kind of Doom mod was that? It's clearly a more "adult" version of Doom, even if the levels are the same.

Didn't know of brutal doom till now. Seems like a good doom-mod, if I ever want to get back on that classic game. xD
