How 'bout you could mod Angelic Armor? Because it's already pretty damn frustrating if it gets destroyed, it won't matter much if you've loaded it with stuff.

Regardless, I don't think we need different mods for armor than weapons. We'll just modify the old weapon mods so that they'll do different things if you add them to an armor instead:
Magazine mod: Adds armor durability. Kinda like the Ironman trait increases life.
Reaload mod: Armor repairs are more effective. The durability repaired by Armor Shards/Depots is increased by, say, 5% per each mod.
Speed mod: Increases chance to dodge.
Damage mod: Adds a sort little weapon turret to the armor, that'll fire automatically, say, plasma bullets to a random enemy each turn. Won't require any ammo. Each added mod will add more turrets.

OK,but how could the game know whether it must apply the mod to your weapon or to your armor?

There could be a cheat that'd allow the player to instantly win the game. He'd just get a message that says "YOU WIN THE GAME!", after which the game'd return to the menu screen.

Lol,I think that wouldn't be a lot of fun!

Personally,I don't think this is a good idea,because armors can get destroyed.So it is pretty frustrating when you made a superdeluxe-armor,and then it just gets destroyed and you loose everything.

The next version of DoomRL should include cheat codes.For example,if you want to cheat you must hit "Ctrl + C".Then,input field appears and then type the code,like iddqd for god mode.However,If the player dies he gets a post-mortem that includes "He was a cheater".I think cheats would be good to give people that think the game is too hard a chance.

Regarding the "keys" request:Can't players simply blow up the wall of the locked room with their rocket launcher...?I mean,why search a key for a locked door while you can simply nuke it?

That's right,but don't forget that in the original Doom the monsters also keep knowing where you are if you first shot them.In fact I'm a little afraid that with all those new requested features,the feeling of playing "Doom" and all it's characteristics will get lost.

I had once an idea of a Bomberman challenge - you start the game with 26 termies, and can't pick up anything else -- your goal is to nuke the whole complex xP

That would be almost impossible as there are some levels where there are no invincibility globes!

Set up nuke, and go down stairs :P
