Title: MUAHAHAHAH!!
Post by: flamewolf393 on June 17, 2017, 01:23
I got my first ever nanopack today... and I put it on my  bfg 9000.... Combined with intuition 2? Lets just say I didnt take a single point of damage the rest of the run.

Is there a way to get the mortem after Ive already moved on? Build ws Int2->dodgemaster->shottyman->shottyhead (for the record this is the ONLY build Ive *ever* been able to win with) I had cybernetic armor, tactical boots, bfg9k, tactical shotgun, and missile launcher.

But what happened is I had gotten the bfg 9000 (cant remember what special level spawned it), 2 levels later I found a nano-pack (first one Ive ever seen), put it on the bfg9k, then every time I saw an X, I shot it, then waited in place till it recharged.

The spider mastermind was a dumbass, I would just go around a wall and he would just wait on the other side of said wall, so I had plenty of time to recharge, pop out with a shot, duck back, go around another corner, and wait to recharge again.

There's a folder that stores mortem files, so it should be possible to dig it up.

Spider mastermind definitely has some dodgy AI.

Seems like an odd, and perhaps not extremely efficient, strategy, but I'm glad it worked for you... What did you do if an enemy approached before you could fire?

Shotgun. But it was rare to have one approach me like that.

Not to nitpick, but am I to assume your claim of a damageless run after the nanopack was hyperbole? Your cybernetic armor is damaged, and you picked it up four levels below where you found the BFG, and two levels below where you said you found the nanopack.

Or maybe I'm just forgetting how the cybernetic armor works?

i dont think cybernetic regens on its own? i've been stuck at 0% with it and can't unequip which is really annoying

No, it doesn't regenerate on its own, but I was also fairly certain it only took damage if you took damage, unlike say the Medical Power Armor which might damage itself to restore previously lost HP.

Only just barely hyperbole. You cant really avoid taking damage in some few circumstances, like when you spawn on a level with 6 hellknights surrounding you, or you accidently blow up a barrel nearby cause you forget just how fucking huge the bfg range is.

Armor repair pickups are everywhere.

Heh, yeah, the BFG certainly does cover quite alot of area - wait until you make your first Biggest Fucking Gun.
