I should not play DoomRL at work... I should not play DoomRL at work... *overloads a nuke against Mastermind*
At least not with sound from your loudspeakers... probably.

Off Topic / Re: Now playing... (games)

I'm playing Skyrim with permadeath.  If I die, I delete all my savefiles.

O_O
Uh, I don't know... permadeath on such long games doesn't really feel too great. Even in ToME I sometimes really dislike it (though I'm actually pro permadeath in general). You explore the world for hours and hours, get somewhere you've never been before, something strange happens and BAM... that's it. And you explore the (structurally same) world again.

Therefore I'm playing smaller roguelikes mostly at the moment: DoomRL of course, as well as all the other ChaosForge titles once again. Some Brogue occasionally. At the same time eagerly awaiting the upcoming Project Zomboid update. ;)

Announcements / Re: DoomRL 0.9.9.6 RELEASED!
« on: March 04, 2012, 07:20 »
After a few hours of intensive playing I can say that DoomRL seems to have become my favourite roguelike. I always enjoyed its streamlinedness, but now it even looks, sounds and feels incredibly cool and polished! I'm excited to see how it will turn out even further improved in the future. Until then: Congratulations to this huge release, I'm off playing again now. ;)

A quick word on the mentions of the other ChaosForge games in the blog post: Wow! Breakthrough releases for all of them? And also pretty soon? Would be incredible to see graphics in those, too. Keep up the great work, I hope it really gets appreciated enough (financially, also...) for its immense quantity and quality.

Requests For Features / Re: Fixing the Spider Mastermind

It's not that easy if you don't know it's melee is crap, that damn spider has killed me almost every time I've made it to Dis because I tried to kill it at a distance...
Yeah... playing without spoilers can be frustrating sometimes. :|
