Gratz! I also find UV nearly impossible without Intuition 2, so I always rush intuition scout on UV. I'm still working on Gold/Platinum, but Diamond seems a little out of reach for me right now. I imagine my first diamond will probably be Technician Diamond, since I only need one more assembly for it.

I never could do AoRA too well, usually because I tend to end up stair diving even though there's more left in the level with 3 minutes left on the clock.

This gives me an idea, I'm gonna do Ao666 on HMP as a Pistol user(for the lone gunman/vash badge i left in) for now. Meanwhile I'll consider nano mods and fireangel, depending on move/firespeed of MAD and Shottyhead.

Sure, as long as it's
A. not a Master Assembly
B. not an Armor mod that gives infinite/recharging durability, AND
C. If used on Armor and not weapons, then it cannot be an Advanced Assembly.

If it's not used as an assembly, then yes, nano packs are allowed for anything you want, as long as it doesn't make unbreakable/recharging armor.

Also, I'm considering changing the rules regarding armor mods, onyx mods and fireangel, depending on why I died so easily on this run:

Went from 40% to 0% in one hit from a Revenant Rocket. That's 32 HP Damage! and that's with 14% left Blue Armor! I usually figure I can take at least one more hit until my health goes below 35%, but the damage taken difference between Mastery/Non-Mastery and Regular Armor vs Modded/Maleks Armor is too much. There needs to be more middleground. And I should be able to take at least 2 hits(unarmored) before I die(that's with full health).

Even with MAD I'm still not doing enough damage to Arch Viles, Mancubus and Revenants with Tactical Shotgun. I had a Plasma Shotgun, maybe I should have used that instead from now on?(As in dump all regular shotgun shells in favour for plasma cells)

I'm thinking about revising the Hobo with a Shotgun Challenge once again(possibly to allow either Fireangel or Onyx Mods, or both).

And one more question: Do enemies deal more damage on higher difficulties?(given that they're not elite/nightmare versions of those enemies) If so, then I don't know what I should've done for armour since only 1 power mod dropped(2 if you count the one i wasted on regular shotgun in pursuit of elephant gun), and I don't remember any bulk mods except one that was used on blue armor(didn't have red armor at the time, the blue armor died at one point). No Rare mods at all spawned.

Well now you can do shottyhead if you like!!! I originally made it MAD only since i thought it would make the challenge more challenging, but it seems to only make it more restrictive and not any more challenging. The reason why I won't allow Fireangel is to make the lategame harder with mancubi. Maybe I will allow Fireangel if it proves to not be any more helpful defence wise than shottyhead against mancubi, arch viles, arachnotrons, revenants and other late game enemies.

Now, if there was an Angel of Shotgunnery version of this challenge, I could totally get behind that; I haven't done anything like that before.  :)

Wish granted. Coming up with one right now. Does anyone know how to get ArchAo666 to work with Dual Angels?

Really?!  I've got 8 diamonds under my belt and never knew that!  Can I make a Diamond Chestplate?
Yes, you can make a Diamond Chestplate, but it's really not worth it. You're better off with Diamond Pickaxe + Diamond Sword + 2 Diamonds for Enchanting Table and 1 Diamond Spade. But then again, this is not Minecraft, and I still haven't even gotten my first diamond in DoomRL, so I should probably keep quite about it.

I'm such an idiot, it appears that Archangel Challenges ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with Dual Angel Challenges. Ima rework this into Ao100.

Edit: All done. 666 Levels are not difficult enough anyway, since the difficulty stays the same after Level 100.

Reddit: Changed the Challenge from Lone Gunman(AoMr) to Hobo with a Shotgun(AoSh). Meanwhile I'll play AoMr+Ao666 on HNTR when I'm not doing this challenge or Blade Bandit.

Centurial Hobo with a Shotgun Challenge(For those who are bored with Melee in Ao100/CBBandit):
1. Must Play on Ao100 with AoSh.
2. Not allowed to play on I'm Too Young To Die or Hey, Not Too Rough, unless you want Copper Badge.(UV, N! and HMP Only for other Badges)
3. Armor/Boots Assemblies are limited to Basic Assemblies Only. No Master Assemblies at all(Weapons are Basic/Advanced only).
4. Nanofiber Armor, Power Armor, and any Assemblies(or even Onyx Modded non-assembly) that give infinite Armour Durability are Forbidden.
Note: Unique/Exotic/Artifact Renewable/Indestructible Armor is allowed. If you haven't noticed, Onyx Mods are Forbidden as well.
5. If you wear an armour that cannot be unequipped, you must kill yourself through suicide, and you are immediately disqualified for that run.
Note: If you get Dragonslayer or Berserker Armor, and can't unequip them, DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE. Finish the Run.
6. Must have at least 90% Kill Rate to Qualify(Preferably 95% or more).
7. Nukes, aside from Level Feeling Nukes, are forbidden.
8. Army of the Dead and Shottyhead are the only allowed Master Traits. No Fireangel.
9. Intuition, Berserker and Triggerhappy are not allowed.
10. You can only choose either Ironman OR Tough as Nails, not both. Choosing both will disqualify your run.
11. Good Lucky trying to get Nano Shrapnel with Army of the Dead or Dragonslaynir.

Badges:
Copper Filthy Hobo Badge: Reach Level 26 on HNTR with 90% Kill Rate.
Bronze Hobo Badge: Reach Level 26 on HMP with 95% Kill Rate or Reach Level 16 on UV/N! with 90% Kill Rate.
Silver Shotgun Hobo Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on HMP with 90% Kill Rate.
Gold Shotgun Hobo Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on HMP with YAAM (100% Kill Rate).
Platinum Shotgun Hobo Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on UV with 90% Kill Rate or Reach Level 51 on N! with 90% Kill Rate.
Ruby Shotgun Hobo of Justice Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on UV with 95% Kill Rate.
Diamond Shotgun Hobo of Justice Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on UV with YAAM (100% Kill Rate) or Complete all 100 Levels on N! with 90% Kill Rate.
Angelic Legendary Shotgun Hobo Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on N! with 95% Kill Rate.
Demonic Legendary Shotgun Hobo Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on N! with YAAM(100% Kill Rate).
Breaking Bad Judge Dredd Badge: Complete all 100 Levels on HMP, UV or N! after wielding Dragonslayer.(Don't commit suicide with this weapon or Berserker Armor) You can get this badge outside of this challenge as long as you follow only one rule: Ao100+either AoMr or AoSh. No other rules apply.

As with the Centurial Blade Bandit Challenge, Earning a higher tier badge will qualify you for all badge tiers below it.
These Badges are somewhat harder than the Centurial Blade Bandit Challenge to make up for the usage of Shotguns.

This challenge may be a bit early in terms of players who have done Centurial Blade Bandit or not, but it's something for Tormuse and I(and other victors of CBBandit) to do while we're bored. Other Players may join in if they're bored of Centurial Blade Bandit or just melee in general.

Note: Archangel Challenges are incompatible with Dual Angel Challenges. This was going to originally be "The Hexacentahexadecihexal Lone Gunman Challenge" with easier, but more grindy requirements, but alas. It was also going to be The Centurial Lone Gunman Challenge, but too many folks have already done AoMr with Ao100.

Extra Badge(you might already have it if you can find the mortem): The Lone Gunman Badge
Requirements: Beat Ao666 as either Bullet Dance, Gun Kata or Sharpshooter Build. Can be done on HNTR(For those newbies/medium players). Must have at least 80% Kill Rate.(60% on Nightmare) Nukes are allowed. Other Guns are also allowed, but try to minimize their use outside of carrying you through the First 16 Levels.
Doing this on HMP with 90% Kill Rate or UV/N! with 80% Kill Rate will also get you: Vash: The Stampede Badge. Yes, you can still use your chainguns/shotguns for the Vash Badge too.

Gratz!!!! =) You are now currently the best Centurial Blade Bandit on this Forum until someone matches or beats your score.
Try to do it again on UV as an Asskicking Marine if you want more(optional), until I come out with the next challenge(which is almost ready btw)!

Perhaps I made this challenge too easy by giving Angelic Badges to UV and not N!? The next challenge will have harder and longer Angelic requirements.

Full Clear of Hell's Armory on UV is doable for me, although Deimos Lab is not. Nightmare is impossible for me atm on any level. I wonder which is more likely:
1. Find 2 Firestorm Mods and 1 BFG9000 within the first 130 levels of Ao666 as Scavenger on HNTR - Easier but longer
2. Find a Master Schematic at Hell's Armory within 5-10 tries(not counting Deimos Lab rolls) on AoMC+AoCn on UV - Harder but shorter

I got some ideas for Jupiter Hell, but I held it off since the thread was old and worried about necroposting:
1. Make use of the 3rd Dimension for High Ground Advantage, such as Catwalks and Balconies(possibly with low walls/cover options)
2. More Damage Types than DoomRL, especially when it comes to Player/Enemy weapon damage.
3. More defensive strategies. I always hated how DoomRL didn't let you attempt to Dodge a bullet and return fire without the enemy firing twice unless you picked a
   specific master trait. In cases without cover, what's the point of dodging if your next offensive move will most likely force you to get hit? Some enemies should also
   employ some of these defensive strategies, but only if the enemy in question is smart enough to do so. Other enemies would probably just run up to you and shoot
   you.
4. More Varying Badges for each tier(like 30-40 equivalent difficulty badges instead of ~26, each with unique ways to achieve them).
5. More Challenges, and Possibly some "Facilities", which are opposite from challenges in difficulty, making the game SLIGHTLY easier, but still restrictive,
    such as Angel of Chaingunnery or Angel of Barrel Destruction, which forces you to destroy every explosive barrel before the stairs become usable(they still appear
   even if none of the barrels have been destroyed yet.) Angel of Barrel Destruction would be balanced by forcing Levers to not spawn at all. Who else hates those
   Acid/Lava Barrels?

Problem is, I usually can't survive that long on UV without 2 Intuition right away. I was going to consider doing AoMC+AoCn on UV to try and hunt the 19% Chance of a Master Schematic, but it's too hard and unreliable, since I've died at least 4 times and the 3 times I managed to clear Hells Armoury(painfully slow, praying that the enemies wouldn't get a chance to hit me, except for the early on cacodemons that are unavoidable), I got 2 onyx mods and 1 sniper mod. I could easily have gotten the same onyx/sniper mod on HNTR/HMP. I didn't even find any Advanced/Basic Schematics in those runs.(I don't know if I can since I got all of them already)

I just need a RELIABLE source of BFG9k+2 Firestorm or Master Schematic that can be done on HNTR or HMP. UV is too hard for me to have any fun at it.(Either Get Killed, or Tediously try to make sure you don't get hit at all, possibly with the even more annoying radar shooting)

1. I'm probably going to try Scout for my HMP Run. The reason why I've been trying Malicious Blades so Religiously is because I don't like relying on timers.(I also don't like to do speedruns, especially in roguelikes.)

2. I wasn't talking about Hell Barons/Hell Knights. I'm talking about the things that have been eating my Blade Bandits, the stuff that's weaker than Hell Knights/Barons.

Lately I've been trying to get my last master assembly, but Standard Game RNG Hates me, and Ao666 seems more difficult than Ao100 on the same Difficulty as a Scavenger.
