One word: Exhausted.
Three words: My "F" button hurts!
Many words: Well, not too big of a story, but still there is some.
First, playing AoMC inclined me to run with a Cateye build, but with pistols instead of rapid fire, well, unless I'd find me a worthy gun. It ended up pistols be more fun and more capable of protecting my humble body than any rapidfire could possibly be. 0.1s (0.09s?) per shot, up to 26 damage, and not even three MV packs on my head are enough to kill me, two can't even touch me as they get either pushed outwards, or killed in place. The bad thing though, is that I had to flee out of 2 levels that had nightmare 'trons, as these are known doomguy killers, and there are tons of them for a single weapon, no matter how great, to hold them at bay. Maybe a P-modded nanomanufacture combat pistol would be able to make me stand ground, but no nano packs in all hundred levels. Sadface.
The most spectacular moment was on level 100, which had 2 Cyberdemons staring down my barrel right off the start. I slammed a homie (I had 2, and a nuke, should there be an invulnerability), judged the layout and decided to stand ground. Should have reconsidered probably, as the level was teleporting stuff at my side every soo often. One of the teleported monsters blasted me from off my sight, ruining any cover, then cybies waltzed in, one got put down with my pistol, the other got a baron at his back, was hit by him and didn't expect that by all of what's his heart is made of. Ha ha.

The most strange thing is that while I have an OP armor on my shoulders, I still have no onyx packs recorded in the statistics. The armor is frikking OP indeed, even if it's slow, it took heat off my head for sooo much, I might still qualify for an Iron Skull, should it be awardable in Ao100.The most glorious battle was at level 99 (or 98), with a cave full of agony elementals. The only time nuclear BFG shined more than my pistol, as there was too many souls and elementals to be able to dwindle their numbers with pistol(s) alone. Good thing the BFG recharges 1 ammo per action, as this enables pistol builds to regenerate it the fastest.
The best decision was to build a demolition ammo conbat pistol. The firestorm pack was a singleton across all Hell, and small corpse removal utility was the very thing I needed to fight BBVV packs. The worst decision was to carry plasma rifles and ammo across half of Hell instead of plain relying on 10mm ammo up front. I was preparing to build a nanomanufacture laser rifle just in case, but otherwise everything non-pistol went obsolete after I've completed demolition ammo. It blows holes and they stay tiny, and barrels around don't care.
And probably I should not have taken any levels in Iro... but just in case.

The start was plain AWESOME. Not a single monster in sight, a duelist armor in sight, a boots plus an agility pack just a tad north, another ammo chain to keep that minigun fed, and a very open level to boot. And a Tracking Map on top!!! No viles tho, so no easy XP. But, one of the hell knights got his claws on a bullet proof vest. S***, but he wasn't into blasting me all the way into the lava, so I survived with my armor half torn. Got two knives, so dared to jump into UC. Dam, that Angel of Death even with scout, +10 from boots and +15 from armor, and IIRC a level of Hellrunner is pretty fast, even got me once cornered! But eventually I managed to lock him into running after me in circles, while I was all like "run-run-use knife-throw knife-run-run", thanks to AoMC this was not too long, as almost every knife would hit, and some would hit for more than 1... or all of them hit for 2? I did get a SoB level by that time.
Level 1 also awarded me with a rocket launcher, so there was a sudden use for all those RMs roaming Hell, at least I could sculpt levels as I see fit, not them. Sadly, got a "khe-khe" level twice, one of them probably got a lava river with a barrel standing on the bridge, or soooo many barrels lined up, so when I got to reach the right side of it, there was an impenetrable field of lava blocking my path further. Good thing is that stairs down were just on its edge, so I could get there without getting me hot. So, no YAAM, although I tried shooting rockets over there, got a baron killed, maybe a former, but there was at least a single hV pack in the distance.
And then level 3 dropped me a nuclear plasma! YAY I could try wrecking JC! Well, nice try - no white stuff on Hell lv7 or lv6, or maybe they got blown up, as lv6 was another barrel level. Got to dance some distance vs cacodemons, shotgunners and revenants, an arachno cave proved to be decently difficult, but nothing a rocket could remedy - while you don't get hit, of course. Ammo problems were long gone, other than playing cat and mouse there was no serious difficulty except the start of level 5, where my intuition was just enough to display two hV packs together right behind an open corner. Luckily, the outermost former was shootable, so I blasted there a rocket... khe, he, he, what a mess! Viles got wiped with two volleys from my happy trigger plasma gun. And vs Mastermind on AoMC you just need to land a single volley, he'd flinch and you'll be safe. The Minigun on AoOC is just too funny to not to use. Har, har, har.

After about five years of not touching this, I finally gathered enough strength, nostalgia and will to ever delve into a procedurally generated Hell. First, completing Doom 1 and Doom 2 on UV with no saves mid-level. Then I remembered, "Hey, there's a Doom game that wants you to do like that!".
I really wonder how do people ever manage damageless kills in melee, esp on Hell Arena. Every attempt I try either gets me eaten, or I lose all my armor and medkits and run further on whatever I collect as Arena reward. This run I was heavily using knife throwing on Arena, three seemed to be about the right number to wield. Still got hit into the red before wrecking the last cacodemon, and it was even with the lucky red armor I found on level 2 in a vault with some lost souls.
Really, I don't remember the game giving me as many uniques before! My first win was a normal HNTR with as much as 6 uniques, this time it was three, and 4 times I got invulnerability to use a nuke, which I really planned for only at the gates of Dis, getting two in a row. Also I got blessed with quite a decent number of packs, including an onyx, so I rushed WK2 right after getting master trait. Still even a double chainsaw loses against UC's weapons... except for the sound, of course. BRRRRZZZZZZZZ!
The funniest thing in the run happened at Limbo, where I have already arrived with OP red armor. Any hit off a Vile triggers berserk, then I only get 1 damage from any single source (probably excluding lava), and each my move made a lot of enemies fly all sides just because a lot of mancubi were around, as well as other AoE shooting stuffs. So, I walk, they fly, I walk, they fly again, if I'm in luck, a corpse gets destroyed in crossfire, or a baron of hell, or at least an imp. I like fried mancubus smell, but I don't like having to suffer when they toss themselves into lava from their own blasts against my FACE! Had to run over lava to put down a vile tossed there like that, they don't frikking die in there.
Hmm... probably I would punch barrels just to get tossed into berserk state...
PS: Never *drop* a nuke into the lava, USE it there if you're invulnerable - a mere note to self. Good thing I've got two.

This costed me a bunch of nerves and a rage quit before I could ever start this. At Hell-7 I had to run past a revenant without any other route, and at Phobos Anomaly those cacos were too liberal with shots so that they left the majority of souls at my heels. The Brothers were not so liberal, and they left me with 3% red armor prior to me descending finally. Got several invulnerability orbs greatly placed, and a homing phase to take prior to Halls of Carnage, so I took the BFG all the way to Spider - not if it had any effect. The other homing phase was right past that rev on Hell-7, so I warped out instead of getting fried. Whew.

The only time I could screw the game over was when I have finally found a nano pack, and thought about assembling a cybernano armor instead of nanomachic weapon. A firestorm was hoarded for some time already, so I was happy adding MOAR DAKKA. From there it was a steady downhill, especially after a couple of Ironman traits. The most fun was a lava elemental cave, when those stupid STUPID E's all teleport into my vicinity, but none fired while I was chaingunning them all saying "DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA! U wer stoopid, now u ar stoopid and DEAD!" (was reading about "more dakka" in the meantime and had a lot of fun). A nanomachic napalm launcher would be great too, or a laser rifle. Thankfully I got an onyx pack a lot earlier than a nano pack, so a PO red armor brought me up to level 90 when I finally went over the wait and slapped an A over it.
The only thing else to say is that it's tedious past level 50, but never a torture, even in NM arachno caves. Also this game costed me an argument with my wife, so I'll refrain from playing that long... at least for some time. :)

well, the subject pretty much says it all. I am now playing U/Ao100, and on one level I pushed an archvile into the lava with a shotgun, it appears to be completely surrounded, but does not take damage from it and does not attempt to move. I wonder if this behavior is intended. (I'd expect archvile to either ignore liquids if immune, or take damage and eventually die if not.)

This was my first serious attempt when I had to stomp the habit of asskicking anything and everything, so a big part of Hell was skipped. I missed the stairs to Mortuary, and didn't do Spider's Lair (going for exp mainly), so I had no nuke up to Hell-7, where it luckily dropped, so I went clearing it for good. I was lucky enough to get both onyx and nano packs, and a handful of power packs to feed two doomguys - well, there was only one in Hell that time ;) so I waited for WK2 and slapped me a cybernano = everyone else is DEAD. I say DEAD, hey archvile, DEAD! I'M the badass here, not you! JC was a pushover as berserk triggered the very first moment he fired at me - I was either under lava element (lucky phase threw me at JC's heels after blowing up Mastermind) or just out of invulnerability, so I said 'RIP AND TEAR', and teared through two hell barons and JC himself before other six had a chance to fire.
I was pursuing the gold badge primarily, and I'm glad it went out good after a handful of very early deaths. You need armor with AoB. Perhaps taking TaN over Fin at level 4 would do a lot towards survivability... but Fin gives me speed to bash the demon before he bashes me.

Just got me a nano pack in AoS Hell Armory, and slapped it over my shotty in an intention to make a nanoshrapnel, but it still goes like normal, reloading from shottyman on movement, not reloading at all either via wait or reload or say if I unequip something. (No it does reload but after a painful interval of ~5.0s - should it be like that at all?) Anyway if it's not a nanopack bug, then a shottyman bug instead, it should not reload an unreloadable shotty.

My first AoB try at 0.9.9.6, somehow I have managed to reach the Arena with bot large medpacks intact and the majority of my armor, and clear the Arena without dying. Maybe I've got lucky with knife throws, somehow I feel that I miss too much with Brute 2 and knife throws - maybe throwing, while taking melee toDam bonuses, still uses range accuracy PLUS decrease, so the base chance of me hitting something with a knife is 50%-dodge? Still, with Arena defeated, I've got to Chained Court with open mods, the Arena Master welcomed me by approaching - well, a chainsaw is there exactly for him! :P Large health globes now give berserk on AoB in 0.9.9.6, so whacking at the ambush in Anomaly went like that, I ate a globe, exited toeards upper wall, met them souls and cacodemons, started hitting and recharged my berserk... whew. The Bruiser Brothers were less peaceful as I've been expecting, because when I have met them at the corner of the exploded wall, the other Brother went out of his brother's back and fired at me - ugh, knocked back me and him, letting them to take free shots. Grrr. Still, they went down.
Hell's Armory gave me just the Acid Spitter and a bunch of blue armor to replace my crumbling supplies, while I had an envirosuit to grab the supercharge. I was later attempting to employ Acid Spitter as a means to cross a river of acid - but the damn thing did not want to recharge!!! Next level gave me the Trigun - yeahhh, if only I'll get me some invulnerabilities to boot. So far I was killing anything and everything with relative ease, although some circling around the pillars and walls was required. I have mistaken the passage to City of Skulls with Spider Lair and went in - yep, immediate phasing outta lever is the key to survive. One blue armor was completely eaten, but the skulls were wiped out. A BFG? What for? :) With the Trigun handy, I had no need walking into spider's lair. At Deimos level 7 I had attempted to employ berserk from large globe to somewhat safely face the Cyberdemon, and used a homing phase - no gain, still, hugging a pillar helped a lot, managed to catch sight of the bada$$ and sneak to him without being knocked back too much. Boom, dead cyberdemon.
The first level of Hell was an arachnotron cave - but I popped close to two out of 3 (?) spiders who had no chance to act prior to me... BZZZZT! Got me a double chainsaw just before fighting the Cathedral - probably was an overkill, but since there was no nano/onyx packs, that was a way to employ power packs into something useful. The next level popped me into a rivered arachnotron cave with one at my side, a great open area and three to four sniping me from the other side. The things got hairy, I have decided to phase to their side - no way, I have decided to pass through the river with Acid Spitter in hands - no way, not only that acid hurts, but it doesn't go away and the weapon doesn't protect at all. Painful I say. Had to retreat into the available stairs to Vaults and abandon the YAAM attitude. I was so disappointed at this that I completely forgot I have the Staff in my lap, so I left at once. The Hell level 5 gave me the shivers, 4 mancubi, 2 revenants, 2 archviles in a large empty room - it was a game of volleyball with me as the ball, but red/200% and berserk negated their damage to 1/shot, while the viles took full damage from mancubi rockets. The Invulnerability globe left at the far left of the map, close to stairs to Mortuary was a godsend I think, so I blew it up to smithereens. Next level gave me two globes and a nuke of a normal kind, I've blasted the Mastermind with it. I had to go to Lava Pits for that, with both globes it wasn't hard before I got me the Enviroboots and envirosuits for protection. Hell-7 was devoid of invulnerabilities and archviles - hello Mom, see that nuke? And look, I have a lava element! Unfortunately it didn't last to the stairs to JC, or I'd have nuked him too, still he went down to Longinus+Angelic with ease.

Bug Reports / [0.9.9.6 Windows console] Statistics doesn't work properly

I have so far played one game of 0.9.9.6 HNTR, got my usual two BFG9Ks, and for some reason got TWO nano packs (thanks for the second one RNG, as I was stupid to splat my power armor in the Mortuary), but the statistics screen shows me finding 1 BFG9K and 1 nano pack. The same for power armor combined statistics, I did two of them while only one gets added. I have a mortem that states me assembling two of the power armor.

I have read Juggler strategy from Tormuse and seeing it be very easy, I tried tackling it with a chainsaw offhand and a pistol in primary hand. While I have won, the only badge was UAC bronze, so the bug that the strat was using has obviously been fixed. This run was straight fist-only except for an occasional rocket to redesign a level (one severely harmed a cacodemon behind the wall (!) which nearly spoiled the run, thankfully only the killing blow matters) and a pistol to blast a door. I had tremendous luck with invulnerability globes, got three in a row prior to Cyberdemon which lasted into Hell level 2 after IDDQD-punching the big guts outta him, one or two in Hell level 4 (next level went a breeze, an arachnotron cave would be a trouble otherwise) and two in Hell level 6 (that was an arachnotron cave too) which last me enough to nuke the hell out of Hell level 7 (that presumably had a RVRVR pack in there), go for the exit (stupid me having HPDs in inventory... constantly forgetting to use them when I can) and punch out thwe legs off Mastermind without it wearing out.
I have tried diamond game first but all my tried end up at Phobos-4 or alike. Maybe I should learn playing DOOMRL a little more to tackle diamonds?
