I play AoMr lately so I kill them with Pistols only :P .

In other words - use the best weapon you can find for them.

Why is it that you always find melee uniques on a normal game, and ranged weapons on a AoB or AoMr game?

What do you need to do it on AoMr for? If you have an ammo problem in that one, you're doing it wrong.
Maybe not on a start, but in low Hell levels (especially after doing special ones like The Lava Pits) I am running out of ammunition.

1. duh :P
2. never thought to remove the armor. 'course i'm the type to always have an extra pair of clean shorts.
3. yup.
4. even better if you can kill them outside YOUR sight range.
5. If you have poor armor or no armor, engage R's face to face. see my recent post about shotguns :P (kudos on properly punctuating R's!)
6. yup.
7. Have a good trait build. Do lots of damage with your chosen weapon right fast, or be uber nimble, or uber tough or whatever. play to your strengths.
2. Murphy Law says for me that I will have no armor if I don't remove it while in berserk.
4. Yeah, that works too. Just it cost a lot of ammo usually (not in sight = additional chance to miss).

RNG spoilt me putting Anti-Freak Jackal on one of my AoM runs (already dead) on level 2.

Then he made fun out of me making dozens of AoM marines die in one turn thanks to many ambushes: insta killed by Barons, Commandos, Mancubis, etc. Nothing can't beat the situation that on one turn you are alive with near-full HP (and do not see any enemy) and on the following turn you have them negative....

Add to that so many Miniguns, Assault Shotguns, Advanced Rocket Launchers, Fastload Launchers and other hi-tech Chaingun-Shotgun-BFG-like goodies, that it is even hard to remember their names.

And when I changed to AoB I almost instantly got tons of Damage Mod on level 2 :( .

They charge up when they attack (the player starts to see the flames around him - if he manage to disappear from their vision the attack will stop  - otherwise he is taking damage; the whole attack takes few seconds from what I remember).
From what I remember their resurrection was point blank, not ranged.

How to make easier ?
More Berserk Packs (or replace Large Healing Globes once again) and more useful items (don't tease people with Advanced Rocket Launchers or other some high-tech weapons on level 2, please ;) ).

I don't know if this will not make it too easy, though :) .

Well, that's one great piece of advice - I'll try to use it next time.  Never occurred to me before.  Thanks!
Of course tactic change with the type of game - on AoM I tend to make glass cannons and kill from distance. Not all maps allow for it, though. Map full of small rooms makes such moloch armor very handy :) . And nothing is better for laugh than seeing all those demons killing themselves with their own projectiles while you take whole 1 damage.

Same goes for Gothic boots - they are good for walking on lava if you run out of your environment packs.

Just do not forget that both Gothic equips make you VERY slow ;) .

Another strange thing: I was playing AoB recently and I found few Large Healing Spheres - and they did not give me Berserk. Wth ...
