Title: Access Violation $77BD2237
Post by: Jerry Swain on November 03, 2008, 02:56
Trying to reproduce exactly what I got-

An unhandled exception occurred at $77BD2237 : E          //I really don't know where the 'E' is supposed to go//
AccessViolation : Access violation
  $77BD2237

Should I attach the save file?

Did you access empty inventory right before the crash?

Yes.

Known bug, already fixed. Will be ok the next version -- till then, don't access the inventory if it's empty (pick up anything before that).

Really enjoying game but only played twice and already had 3 crashes.

Version: v.0.9.8.10
OS: WinXP

2 crashes closed window so I couldn't see what was going on (one without saving - I'd just got the Necroarmor :( )

1 crash I did see (first address is same address as this thread):

Access violation $77BD2237
$000B2A29

Might try turning music off...

my necroarmor...

sob...

Should add that inventory was *NOT* empty

OK, so I set Music = FALSE; in the doomrl.ini and the crashes stopped. Managed to play through to a partial win with no crashes (on easy :)). No idea how to get the full win!

Thanks

Making the game crash is the only way to save on Nightmare =)
Not that it helps, but still =D
