It would, with a little modification - use a rocket launcher to blow a hole in the wall than corner shoot. Alternatively, charge into melee range than shoot them in the face - you will take damage, but it will be significantly less than eating some plasma head on. Be careful not to cause accidental knockback though.

Also, on the other note, it's helpful to remember that there's a megasphere hidden behind the starting position - it helps a lot in clearing the armory, although you'll need a envirosuit (or some really fancy boots) to claim it safely.

Marine's bonuses are a replica of the previous doomguy. The only change is the trait tree.

Entrenchment seems to be a wee bit underpowered - both because it blocks reloader and forces you to take TH, but also because +30% to all resistances is a bit low. Compare it to Malicious Blades, where you get +50% to bullet, shrapnel and FIRE, of all things, just for carrying a certain item in the prepped slot. True, it leaves you with no protection against plasma, but you certainly don't want to get hit by plasma anyway.

Since all runs are made from a fresh install, no UV is available. I didn't grab some easy badges, though - some special levels didn't spawn, and some I simply screwed up - so there's a lot of room for improvement.

Also, Jackhammer is a beast, even compared to Railgun (which cannot be modded anymore, apparently) - it made clearing the Vaults absolutely trivial.

I'll definitely try - after all, I have to redo my crashed run, if only to see how it could have turned out. But 24+ badges won't be easy, that's for sure.

You cannot make a tactical shotgun out of an assault shottie, because this assemblie requires a particular weapon (combat shotgun). You can, for example, make a high-powered railgun, because this assemblie takes any non-shotgun weapon.

Bug Reports / [0.9.9.4 WinXP] Crash: Shotgun reload

Crash occurred during the Lava pits. I had an envirosuit on, and using tactical shotgun + shell box to mop up the errant mancubi (out of LOS). The error popped up when I tried to reload. Since, after the crash, my char didn't have the shell box equipped I presume that the game crashed when I tried to load the last shell. Perhaps I tried to use the 'R'eload all command and didn't have enough shells in the box.
