1059 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 1010 of those were killed.
 1 of those was killed by something unknown.
 11 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
 And 10 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

 26 souls destroyed the Mastermind...
 4 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
 19 killed the bitch and survived.
 3 showed that it can outsmart Hell itself.
Most of AoOC are quits, usual games usually end in death.

And no, unknown is not related to JC. Iirc it's about object that killed you not being present, oh something like that, i'm not sure.

P.S. 6 loses in a row? Now i'm gonna brag how it took me a month to win one of challenges.

Welcome to forums.
Difficulty really matters only for early levels. After lvl30 it's all the same. Except that on UV/N! you take twice as much time to clear the level due to increased number of monsters.
The Inqusitor set is OP, that's true.
It's not berserker armor is needed for dragonslayer, it's the opposite - to wear it you first need to pickup DS.

Me and my friend speculated that you need to do damageless arena on N! and several more specials levels damageless too. Not sure if there's damage taken threshold for normal levels though.

The problem about all these 'simple' solutions is that different people think of different things first when they hear 'simple'. God knows how frustrating it can be when you need to figure something 'obvious'.

1. I agree that some change to cornershooting is needed. Currently it's unnatural and OP. It's also the most (and sometimes the only) sensible way to play early on UV/N! but that shouldn't stop us from thinking how we can make gameplay better.

2. Imho sound shoud not give exact location. Humans are not bats, echolocation is not our strong point. I like the system how it is.

S-hypeblaster is probably the best.
A1T3S1 plasma is pretty good too.
Assemble the one that looks cooler in your opinion.
Burst cannon on plasma rifle when you have MAc is quite bad.


Nano mod is best wasted on anti-grav boots or on making cool armor. MAc users have no problem killing things.

Guaranteed solution is 4 repeated uses of scythe's alt-fire and you're good unless you're unlucky, then you may require 5. IMO worth only if you desperately need 100%/Conqueror and Scavenger Platinum/Diamond.

The only time i find ammo (and inventory in general) management annoying is during Conqueror runs.
AM staff, envirosuit(two on lower difficulties), RL+rockets to pass anomaly, shotgun+shells for CoS, melee weapon for UC and so on. Having half of you inventory lying as dead weight until one point where it's essential doesn't bring me any happiness.

The problem with adding another common pistol that's better than basic pistol is pistol's high scaling with SoG. Even a small upgrade translates in quite a noticeable difference later. For example combat pistol having initial 3d3 which is not much better than 2d4 becomes best single-shot pistol with 3d6 after P3 modding. And it also have super-high clip size, which is upgradable too...
I would like to use something other than what i got right on the start, but i don't think this can be easily balanced.

Uh-oh, i didn't mean that respawning will stop eventually because respawning rait is actually increasing. Was more of a joke how you need to persist in corpse destroying and rekilling things if they respawn.

All enemies except sergeants can miss due to dodge chance, it's just it's not helpful if explosion is centered on nearby tile. And with MFa if you dodge an attack than you're perfectly safe. In combination with Berserker it really can do wonders as you can get near your target without getting a scratch.

Wait time is always 1.0s(0.91 for scouts) regardless of movespeed. There were suggestions to change it depending on ms , but it's not the most important thing anyway.
I think that trait about waiting is too exotic. Besides let's say you want to wait 2.0 seconds? 20 keypresses of wait button? And wait-run is not configured for current situation.
