Requests For Features / Megabuster needs major buff

I've been trying out many methods on using the Megabuster and so far I haven't found even one effective use for it. It can fire three or four bursts depending on whether or not you have triggerhappy and it doesn't even fire big bursts. It's reload time is massive and it eats through ammo so fast you need to have multiple stacks just to take down a hell knight. the damage is not very impressive regardless of what fire mode it is in and I can say the same for the accuracy too. It isn't even compatible with ammochain. I have yet to find a real situation where i can use it to better effect than a chaingun without the scavenger perk.
It's not all bad though. I like the concept enough that I toy around with it in just about every run I find it even if I would be better off using something else. There seem to be a few ways to fix it. For example you could make it take one ammo per shot and give it a decent ammo efficiency. You could also buff the damage and accuracy enough to justify using 5 bullets per shot.
I think either one of these suggestions or perhaps a bit of each could make the Megabuster a usable weapon but as it is, it is a pretty disappointing unique to find.

After a week of keeping a window of DoomRL open, I am finally able to turn off my computer. I am a little disappointed that I didn't get a 100% kill rate but I don't actually care enough to try that again.
Early on I found 2 nuclear plasma rifles and they were doing enough to keep me alive that I decided to use my first nano mod to assemble some nano skin armor instead of the nanomanufacture plasma rifle. Once I had the Infinite plasma down Nothing really gave me any trouble. The agony elemental caves both took a while and the lava elemental cave depleted all of my BFGs but my health never went below 50%. the most fun weapon I made was a Nanomachic tristar blaster but once a made a nano supershotgun It never saw much use.
I had a scavenger build but I think I would have been better off masterless. I found almost all of my mods lying on the ground and trigger happy would have given me a real boost. The only time it actually helped was when I disassembled my nuclear plasma rifles when I made my nanomachic plasma rifle and got a firestorm mod.
I had fun doing this but it gets pretty tedious around level 500. I don't think I will try this challenge again until the next version of DoomRL comes out.

I was on level 198 of Archangel of 666 ultraviolent when I got this bug.

The 'you seem to be targeted' level event was going on and I was using a nanomachic napalm launcher earlier to limit where the enemies could teleport to. I suspect this had to do with the error but I could be wrong.
I was able to continue on afterwards so at least it isn't game breaking. To be honest though, I was almost relived when it crashed, There was a brief moment of "Oh well, I guess I don't need to finish Ao666 anymore" before I discovered I could still move.

After twenty attempts I finally got my Centurial Platinum Badge. It's true that on only two of the other attempts I got past level 25 so it seems once you get rolling, you just about have it made. I 'had it made' on level 18 when i got Whizkid2 and assembled a firestorm modded hyperblaster and Power modded onyx cerberus armor. Once that happened I was more or less invulnerable and, with the exeption of cyberdemons, could kill anything before it could get a second shot off.
The closest I came to dying was on level 38 when I was shoved into my first nightmare arachnotron cave. They got my health down to half before I had some room to breathe. Apart from that, nothing really gave me any trouble.
I made an assult chaingun early on in case I ever ran out of plasma but that never happened. I tried using it a couple times but the hyperblaster killed things twice as fast and I didn't really need to conserve plasma after I got ammochain. I dropped it for a minigun that i never ended up using.
Near the end I found the Megabuster and I have to say it is the least useful item in the game. It isn't compatible with ammochain and in three bursts it completely emptied it's 60 ammo magazine without doing any real damage. The chaingun is a superior weapon and you find it right off the bat. I dropped it on the level I found it.
Now I need to figure out what to do next. I'm thinking of Ao666 UV with 100% kills but It would take an eternity. I will probably end up trying to beat my first nightmare run.

I put on Gothic Armour, a power mod, a nano mod, than another power mod, got the option to create an assembly, i said yes, i got an error, and my Armor was the same but the name changed to nanoskin Gothic armor but was the same as when it just had a power and nano mod. it did not use up the second power mod however.
