This is what my kill count is after 2 games in 0.9.9.6 . First game i played a rapid-fire build, second was AoSg. Didn't kill anything with melee. Could be the rocket kills getting counted as melee, as i'm sure i rocketed the bruisers.

Start game -> SoG
Make Speedloader Pistol (Startscum may be needed)...

in arena get SoG, unless unlucky spawns it's foolproof. Against caco it's shoot-shoot-shoot then dodge if no cover
Save the blue armor for the arena master.
Get eagle eye if you feel you miss too much/otherwise Whizkid * 2 preparing for the P-modded Tactical Armor.
Do Chained Court : ok this one can be trickier.

DoomRL runs great on my very old netbook : a 800Mh SINGLE CORE with 512 ram, no gfx card.
The G version slows down sometimes in crazy levels like City of skulls or Mortuary, but nothing bad. Still wondering if the release version will change that.

Juggler doesn't help with equipping weapons from inventory. Only Quick/swap and quick-keys weapons will take no time.

Thus it's a good idea if you have Juggler to allways keep a non-covered by quick-keys weapon in prepared slot, the Missile Launcher from the Wall comes easy to mind here.

Intuition is a good advanced trait if you know how to use it properly, i for example just seem to play bad when i know where the baddies are hiding ;-)
Wizzkid while being good is luck dependant, without Mods, Whizkid levels are useless.
Badass, especially if a marine is awesome.

But my all favorite advanced trait is JUGGLER. That thing is owerpowered, and allows for crazy combos, instant switch to whatever weapon is best at a given moment.

Currently what really is unbalanced is ammo, there is a crazy hell lot of it all over the place... Might as well remove the need for ammo alltogether.

There is (or may long time i have had special pistols in a AoMr run) also issues having Dualgunner and special guns as the Trigun or GCB...

Kind of a joke idea, really, but it could work:

Angel of Genre Blindness
You know that guy in every horror movie ever that does the worst possible thing whenever given a chance? That's you. Let's see YOU try to survive.

Drawbacks and Explanations:
1. Cannot fire without an enemy targeted. No directly shooting at doors, no scouting. These characters never think to break down a door or keep their gun trained on anything that might be in the darkness.
2. You stop running whenever you take damage. They trip and fall over the most minor injuries.
3. You take one more damage by default, but gain two points of armor whenever you stand within the blast radius of a barrel. They like to hide behind useless cover.
4. All guns take an extra 0.3s to fire, and all non-shotguns take a penalty of 1 point to Accuracy. Shotguns? In AoGB, shotguns can miss. They don't handle guns worth a damn, and this reflects their clumsy handling.

This would be pretty cool i think

Actually the videos are from me ;-) . Did it as a test for recording and ended up very surprised to not die earlier... Basically the whole run was unplanned... But good tips.
I won AoMr UV after that.


Wish they were more vids of (good or at least decent players) out there. There is loads of tricks to learn from a DoomRl vid.

Well something great about shotguns is the crowd control ability + semi reliable knockback even early game. This isn't true anymore when using a pistol.

You have to try fighting as much as possible only one ennemy at the time. Also tactical placement gets very important,the less the bad guys can retaliate the better.

Well i have some footage of me kicking demons asses on AoMr UV (Maybe i should put the whole run on it as a lets play...)

Just used acid spitter for the lol on Cybbi. And BFGed him to death, i took 2 rockets total in my face.
This was stressing, each tiny mistake could lead to death... Now i have 2 more angels to do on HNTR : Max Carnage (should be easy lol, just doesn't really appeal to me) and Humanity (this will be hard...).
