Title: Cyberdemon problem [SPOILER WARNING]
Post by: chalup on January 25, 2008, 13:18
Recently two friends of mine was unlucky enough to have the Cyberdemon generated inside the indestructible pillar on the Phobos Arena. I suppose in this case you can only win if you have thermie, because I don't know if firing rockets/BFG at the pillar would damage Cyberdemon inside it. Anyways, it seems like a bug to me.

You could always try. Firing a rocket in it, I mean.

It works with the indestructible walls in City of Skulls, so I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

But yeah, seems like a fairly major bug.

Sounds easy. I say grab the chance when you have it.

Also, I reckon he happened to be generated on that one

(Why did I even use the spoilers? I've said before that they're unnecessary.)

Kornel could make it to spawn a teleporter next to the staircase: The Cyber walks on it, and gets out. Or give him a phase device in the beginning of the level, though then he could also use it to escape the player, so it's probably not that good of an idea. The only ways I see out of the bug, regardless.

I already reported it chalup, as I said I would do with bugs that you post on the other forum. It's even in bugtracker IIRC.

Oh, and Potman - spoilers ARE necessary. There are new people coming that don't know about secret stuff. For example chalup comes from forum where people - while they saw
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
- still don't know how to get there and what lurks below. So yeah unusing spoiler tags will be punished.

Reading Mortems will spoil you anyway, recording all about how you defeated the main badass and found that really well hidden cool gun from that one place, and stuff.

If they read mortems they they essentially get spoiled "at thier own wish". Putting spoilers otherwere is still a no-no.
