Title: How do I upgrade my scores from one version to another?

I like looking at my scores and remember stupid decisions that I made that lead me to my deaths. How do I update the score list? I have copy pasted the backup folder and mortem folder. What am I missing?

player.wad and score.wad in the root folder; these contain the actual stats. I believe they remain unchanged if you install another/a newer version on top of the existing one - at least they did for me.

But since a lot of stuff changed from one version to the next, I manually chucked them out after all.
