More often then not, I see signed in users lurking and not posting.
Is there a reason for this? Are you afraid of posting? Feel you can't contribute?
Is there any way we could extend our aura of friendliness?
(I would be able to post more often and respond if others brought up points, ect.)
-
I'm just returned :P
-
Get into it, then! 4 posts is NOT ENOUGH!
-
Is there a reason for this?
Because I don't post without reason ;P
Seriously, if I posted everything I wanted to post, I'd have maybe 400 posts. Most would be hated, so be glad I don't post that often :P
(yes, I like using :P :P)

400 posts is better then none :P

I have a dozen or so other sites that I'm actively involved on for one reason or another.
There's not much here that catches my interest at the moment, though, except for the occasional tease about the next version and the odd mortem... and the New Uniques thread.
Maybe if we got a game of Mafia or RAF or something like that going...
-
To be honest there isn't really much intresting things to talk about in here apart from the request for features area. =/
-
Any ideas for interesting discussion, then?

We could calculate 1000 digits of pi by hand...

The next version will be finished pretty soon right? That ought to make the forums a bit more active for a while..

Ditto.
I'm not posting until the new version comes out. Bug reports are kinda moot right now.

I joined the forum with an interest to recode DiabloRL, but was having a tad of trouble with FreePascal. Then along came Neko, and I was way on board to help out with that. And then the wife went back to Uni and I got a second job and free time went poof.
There are things I could/would post, but don't. Heck, I've pondered the PBF's, but I just don't have the time at the moment. As with most forums, there is a core of well known posters, and I'm not in it. I've talked to Kornel a few times, but I'm sure he's a little unhappy that I didn't end up helping him code Neko (soooorry! ;) ) (man it's hideous trying to use a smilely face at the end of a parenthetical grouping) and I don't really have anything unique to add.
Basically, I don't plan on joining in to major activity until either I get a bit more free time, or I get some spare cash and donate, hence have a vested interest in the action. Though if I donate, I'll probably try to edge my way back into coding again.

A minute spent posting on the forums is a minute not spent slaughtering the minions of Hell.

I am surprised that I am even visiting, let alone posting seeing I can't even play the game right now since I haven't installed any emulation/parallel software since I am on a Mac.
The other problems is that nothing new has been released for more than a year and the front page's latest post is a still alive post. It would help if you merged all the games into one site and made even fleeting progress reports.
I did like it better when updates to the game was made in a more piecemeal manner, but that is just me.

I'd discuss roguelike and crpg ideas, although the forum isn't devoted to such things I guess. Haven't found a good forum with such discussions going on yet, anyone can help? :P

This is definitively the place for that. Use the Off Topic forum, or Discussions.

Dammit, now I want to see how far we can get in a game of Elsa Alliance here...
and now I need to go back and edit the skill sheet and whatnot anyway...
