It shows how picking that class affects the cost of the skills. For example Technical skill is 50% cheaper for the Technician.

You make all the tiles bright by opening config lua with a text editor and changing gradual_light   to false. Although as stated above it utterly kills the atmosphere. So when i tried it AliensRL lost it's charm and became like an average plain roguelike. But of course it's up to you.
You can increase the value for gradual_brightness by a fraction without completely ruining the atmosphere. Also, the config.lua was just added with this version.

Though I've only seen it once (edit: twice), they will destroy a barrel, if they can't path around it.

Yeah, 10 is the maximum number of tools you can carry.

You need to level up technical before you can fix elevators, I forget which level you need. If you don't have enough tools you'll get a message saying how many you need.

This was a much more thorough play through. Played with turrets and tech skill more.

The six up elevators I could get to on level 4 were all broken, so I fixed the one in civilian tower.

Had two turrets end up fighting each other. Another got this error and was unable to fire. Destroying it stopped the error.

I guess it was just a matter of not having tried to heal while I was exploring that radiated storage level. I was just exploring a radiated security level and it was a different story.

Actually what is really missing is the post mortem information if you win that you died of radiation poisoning soon afterward anyway.
That would be a nice touch. Maybe even adjust the score... would give incentive to make a trip to the medical tower.

I'm all but certain that I was wearing Plasteel when I picked up the M5. Should I have been able to?

Turrets! Woo! (except for the auto targetting of them, though drones have trained me to check my target)

Oops, I really should have checked my experience on the way out.

Radiation seems weak. I explored an entire radiated storage level without even really worrying about it.

Furniture: I'd be fine with this if it didn't block your vision.  Found myself getting ambushed a lot...Now that I think about it, it's probably something Xenomorphs would do.
Only half the furniture blocks your view, lockers and crates. Beds and tables can be seen over and I found then quite useful as cover. When I first enter a room with crates I stay against the wall until I've cleared out the buggers.

Frankly, I love these. "Gee, I wonder why that door is open even though I'm nowhere near it?" That and not having to get right next to it to open it, more than make up for them being able to follow you through them.

I was actually helped by many broken lifts, got more experience while searching for working ones.

At one point, I was surprised by a couple Elites and had to limp from Security to Medical on 8% health. Very tense. As was riding up the last lift to see 6 Praetorians waiting for me.
