I FINALLY installed my scanner, so...

Here is the paragraph about DoomRL from that 'Remakes' special in Computer Games Magazine.  There was only one other roguelike mentioned, so.

i do feel strongly about open source though. i can understand people choosing  other approaches, but open source is the best way to spread information and pool resources imho. I know it also has many drawbacks (minor bugs not getting fixed etc), but personally i feel the advantages outweigh them most of the times.

This is not a discussion for the forum Turgor and Almafeta. Everyone has the right for their opinion, and this is especialy true for the holy GPL vs. Commerce crusade. As you may have noted, DoomRL itself is closed source (although, I seriously consider releasing the sources once I'm finished with the game). Almafeta did a great job of providing us with this image, for which I am sincerely grateful to him (finally got a reason to get drunk! ^_^).

lets drink to that yeah! I'm not having any beef with closed source, i do understand it actually :)

edit: /me is being so drunk he thinks he is on irc even.. so i'm way ahead of you kornel! but then again it's saturday.

In fact, i am curious of what magazine this is, not just what country, although it is clearly a country that speaks ENGLISH, but still, this is no small time project, we are well know across the web....theres eyes on us... <_<   >_>

According to the first post, the name of the magazine is 'Computer Games Magazine'.

Believe it or not, CGM mentioned DoomRL AGAIN in the January 2006 issue.  This time, about three times as much text, and instead of the middle of the list, as item number 1 in the list.  ^^;

(btw whats happening around here, no new posts recently.. I guess everyone is waiting for DoomRL 0.9.9)
