If it's deep enough to prevent moving barrels in it, then it's deep enough to slow down anyone, player or monster, trying to travel through it. 'Nuff said.

i agree, if it aint gonna affect movement speed, then barrels should be able to be moved in it.  i think if it were shallow, it would be slippery and make knock back stronger and make barrels slide when pushed or it would be deep and slow everyone down.  that might be pretty dang fun.

IIRC water stops barrels because both are tiles and it would look wierd if it "swapped" places with water as it does with blood. Though slowing down might be nice customization.

The barrel could also go "The barrel falls and spills its contents to the water!", transforming the particular water tile, as well as a couple tiles around it, into acid.

I like this idea best, I think.
