Title: Unable to download version 0.9.8.9
Post by: Phssthpok on January 14, 2008, 22:20
When I try to unzip doomrl-win-0989.zip, I get
"CRC failed in in doomrl-win-0989\doomrl.exe. The file is corrupt."
"CRC failed in in doomrl-win-0989\SDL.dll. The file is corrupt."

I have tried downloading this multiple times and unzipping it on different computers but I cannot get the exe to unzip.

It's a problem with you're download system -- what do you use to download?

Did you clear your browser's cache after each d/l attempt? If not maybe each time you saved the same unfinished/corrupted file. I report no such problems.

I have tried downloading with Windows Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 6, Mac Firefox 2.0, Safari 3, and wget. I have tried unzipping with WinRAR, WinZip, Mac Archive Utility, and info-zip. I am also getting corruption reports for the linux and nosound versions of doomrl, and when I bypass the errors, the unzipped files are corrupt and will not execute.

OK, I managed to download it by tunneling through a server hosted by theplanet.com, but it still gets corrupted if I try to get it directly through Comcast. Pretty weird.

I had the same problem with the provious ver a couple of days ago, the transfer was really slow, and the files finished up corrupted. Maybe there were some problems on the line to my location, cause it all works perfectly now. Wait till tomorrow, then try downloaing ;-).
