16 M) Minigun - May be it's good weapon, but I can find this only in my AoMr games, so ...

1 G) Chaingun - With certain traits it's the best. Not as ammo-consuming as Plasma Rifle, and at the same time not much weaker. Plasma Rifle is only for certain monsters and situations, Chaingun is for the entire game.
2 B) Combat knife - I remember myself trying again and again to reach at least somehow deep levels in Malicious Knives challenge. And I hate it.))
3 B) Large medpack - Blade + Large medpack = <3
4 A) Small medpack - It's like Large medpack, but this one is small... So annoying.(
5 A) Damage - Just best.
6 E) Accuracy - Shotguns don't need it at all. And, when playing CG game, I always have EE*2, which is enough. So never use those ones.
7 A) Durability - It grants you additional half of your armour. Or you can consider it as stronger version of armour shard if your armour is damaged.
8 C) Mobility - Never felt that those ones are changing anything.
9 C) Mobility - Boots are useless in casual situation, but with this mod they are useful even in battle.
10 B) Protection - This mod grants not enough protection to make any difference.
11 C) Invulnerability globe - Just love when I find those.
12 A) Small health globe - They are too small...
13 F) Former captain - Little fat funny 10mm ammo carriers. Like Santa Clauses.
14 L) Arch-vile - No one can be worse than that damn thing. Every one of them is a real challenge even for well-equipped character.
15 Y) Longinus Spear - Uber-weapon. Possibly it's more powerful than the Dragonslayer because of the armour increment.
16 M) Minigun - It just sucks.
17 F) Hell's armoury - Free exp and ammo. Bad that you don't need ammo at that point of the game.
18 D) The Wall - Damn hard on UV and N!.
19 C) Hellish city - Not much scenery that obstructs your FoV, and lots of items lying outside of houses without guard.
20 D) Maze - Usually big group of monsters masses in the centre of the map, and all this ends very badly if there are 1 or more Arch-Viles there.
21 G) Stairs - Without doubts.
22 E) Lava - Don't know why, but I don't like this one very much.)
23 E) Son of a bitch - Damage rules.
24 P) Badass - Huh? What does it do?
25 D) Ultra violence! - Always playing original DooM only on this difficulty.
26 E) Nightmare! - Never understood this one. Endlessly resurrecting monsters are not for me. I like when thing that I just killed remains lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

1:F) It's just so fun to see demon corpses slide several tiles backwards from the impact of the double shotty. It's the reason i play DoomRL again and again.
2:I) I almost never use the plasmagun. Even with EE2 i wasn't able to kill anything in acceptable amount of time with this. It was definitely more useful in the original doom.
3:D) Nothing can save you from caves full of arachs or ambushes by viles more reliably than the homing phase device
4:E) Envyrosuits are not very useful, certainly not enough to justify using up inventory slots.
5:A) Damage mods can be applied to shotguns for terrific results...
6:E) ...while accuracy mods can't.
7:B) Protection mods are always good, since rising your armor class even by one produces visible results.
8:A) Durability mods are not of much help for me. Armor will still be destroyed after one or two levels, so why bother.
9:B) See 7
10:A) See 8, except even more useless.
11:F) Berserk packs saved my life more than once, even on my rare N! ventures.
12:G) Armor shards don't spawn when i need them, but will gladly do so just after on of my armors melts.
13:P) Cyberdemon. My favourite enemy both in the original Doom and DoomRL. It's just so fun to fight against, it never get's old.
14:O) Revenants. It's either this or mancubi, and at least mancubi can theoretically miss you. And they also emit cool sound when they die.
15:J) If not for it's name and concept, Grammaton cleric beretta wins my heart with it's ability to alternate between modes of fire. It's just great.
16:I) Oh, my hatred towards Gothic Boots deserves a book or two to be written about it . For you see, i swam through lava and fought through monsters in the lava pits and what? I found some useless boots, the only thing they did was to slow me down. A lot. That was the beginning of relationship of pure hatred. Anytime i see them now, i just blast them to obilivion to cheer myself up.

18:K) See 16 and hear me howl in rage.
19:A) Arenas are fun. You don't have to run around to find where the exit or good stuff is. You just kill and destroy. And furthermore, i still remember how fun it was to find your own ghost in the middle of the map by stumbling into it with LS in hands and proceed to attack it...
20:D) Mazes are total opposites to arenas: you have to wander for minutes before you find an exit or the last monster. That is annoying.
21:D) Ahh, doors. They are just so cool. You can open them, you can close them. What else a human being may desire? But seriously, doors grant you a tactical advantage over most enemies, which is always welcomed.
22:H) Teleporters, the most useless thing in existence. I have never used them to any particular effect at all.
23:M) Dualgunner makes me feel like some sort of a gunslinger hero from old west, or like Dante from Devil May Cry. Both are cool.
24:P) Badass. The only trait i took exactly one time in my existence. With such a name, you will probably expect something badass from it, and what? You just get a trait that slows down the health decay. And it requires you to spend more than one level to slow it down completely.
25:C) HMP is the most balanced one.
27:B) See 23. Not much of a challenge but an enjoyable past time.
28:E) Let me keep my ammo, dammit!
29:9 At first i though about giving it a 9.462534 mark, but then i decided against it. The reduction is because of the Gothic Boots. But seriously, the game is brilliant (not to mention the only roguelike i can play without tearing my hair in frustration). Exellent work, Kornel.
Blade, DS is by far stronger than LS, didn't you forget DS's permanent effect? ;]

1: C - Pistol
I think the Chaingun is the best weapon in the game, but my favorite is the pistol. I really like playing the Marksmanship challenge game for that reason.
2: I - Plasma Rifle
They just eat through ammo too much. I can't carry enough ammo to make them worth while. I always use the chaingun instead.
3: B - Large Medpack
These keep me alive. :)
4: 0 - I like all items
I am a packrat. I want to have at least one of each item at all times.
5: A - Damage
Kills things faster
6: E - Accuracy
I use traits to help me hit better.
7: A - Durability
Makes the armor last longer.
8: C - Mobility
I just think the other two are better. *shrugs*
9: C - Mobility
Mobility always helps. The other two only help when you are in acid/lava.

I would rather have my boots last longer or move faster.
11: C - Invulnerability
This is a really tough choice, but I have to say that I am always happiest to see invulnerability. Honorable mentions go to Megasphere, Supercharge, and Backpack.
12: 0 - None
They are all very welcome in a game.
13: F - Former Captain
They keep my changun and pistols fed. I really like seeing Former Captains.
14: L - Arch Vile
I put Arch Vile here because they scare the crap out of me, but that is what makes them an excellent enemy and a good challenge. I rate them as suckiest because they are the enemy I most dread running into, not because I dislike them.
15: L - Malek's Armor
Makes you speedy and regens so you don't need to carry as much spare armor around. Honorable mentions go to Blaster, Nuclear Plasma Rifle, and all the pistol uniques.
16: M - Minigun
Meh. It burns through to much ammo and a modded chainun is better.
17: B - Hell's Arena
It is a fun challenge early in the game.
18: K - The Lava Pits
Never seems worth it to me. You have to carry around enviro suits to get through it or use up lots of healing.
19: E - Maze of rooms
The rooms sometimes make it so you can take this level a chunk at a time.
20: D - Maze
Big piles of baddies in the middle of the map = yikes!
21: I - Wall
These keep the enemy from shooting me until I want to face them. Honorable mention goes to water. If I kill an enemy in water, an Arch Vile cannot raise it. Also Stairs. Knowing where the stairs are is always comforting.
22: A - Acid
It hurts. And enemies do not kill themselves on it anymore. :(
23: M - Dualgunner
My favorite way to play. What can I say, I am a sucker for theme and cinematics. Most used traits are probably EE, SoB, Ironman, Fin, WK.
24: P - Badass
Yes, there are certain challenge games in which it is useful, but that is it. I would never ever take it in a normal game.
25: D - HMP
Difficult, but still kind enough that you can regularly win. I also really like UV, but it often ends in death, especially in Marksmanship games.
26: A - ITYTD
My first game of DoomRL was ITYTD and I got so bored I quit on dlvl 15. I hadn't seen anything new in so long it became tedious. I didn't know I was on the verge of seeing more difficult things. My next game was NTR and that game hooked me.
27: B - Marksmanship
No contest. You probably could have guessed this was coming.
28: H - Masochism
This game is really, really hard for me. It seems to be mostly luck whether or not you can win.
29: 9 - Excellent!
DoomRL is certainly in my top 3 roguelikes. It is tactical, challenging, immersive, and relatively short.

1: Chaingun always ends up being my staple weapon, at least for the early game.
2: I've never gotten the hang of the rocket launcher - too slow to reload. The missile launcher is awesome though.
3: Large med-pack is a lifesaver, of course.
4: All of them have their uses
5: Damage of course, followed closely by reload.
6: A quick reload is usually better than another shot in a tight spot.
7: Armor is damaged quick, and every little bit helps.
8: Mobility is nice to have but protection is better for armor.
9: Mobility is much better on boots as you're almost never in lava.
10: For when you are in lava, protection is much better.
11: The map is so handy for finding the exit, other powerups, items, etc...
12: Not worth the risk usually.
13: Arachnotrons are fun to fight and there's strategy in handling them - do you get up close (where they're harmless) or stay away?
14: I have died so many times to revenant missiles.
15: Huge armor rating + speed + self-repair = fantastic item, even with the life drain.
16: I don't like the rocket launcher as it is, and one with a questionably useful ability and that can't be modded just doesn't seem useful.
17: A good fun challenge for the early game.
18: Just a waste of time and health.
19: Usually easy to navigate and get to cover.
20: Just annoying to find the exit, and it's easy to get blasted around corners.
21: It's easy to control enemies using doors - not everything can open them.
22: Teleporters just seem dangerous as you don't know where they'll take you (into the middle of a lava pool, for instance!)
23: Eagle Eye is just useful for everyone (except maybe shotty users), and unlocks two other awesome traits.
24: Badass isn't as bad as it's made out to be (even one level has a noticeable effect on health decay) but there's just better traits out there. I'd like to see it increase power-up duration or something.
25: UV is a big challenge, it took me many many tries to get anything more than a half win.
26: I wouldn't lower myself to playing ITYTD. :P
27: Playing with pistols is just fun.
28: Never played it but the idea just doesn't appeal to me - it sounds needlessly frustrating, and I like the idea of challenges that require the player to come up with new tactics.
29: Very fun game and very doomy too - I'd like to see more challenge modes, monsters and unique items.

- Chaingun seems to be the most loved weapon. Logic, because if you want to do game without any self-challenging intentions, this is your primary weapon for, like, 75% of the game.
The suckiest weapon is definatly the shotgun. Weak damage, unless shot from REALLY close, and you have to reload after every shot... The shotgun should need less damage loss with range!

- Competing with Homing phase device and Thermonuclear bomb, the Large Medpack is the best item. There is no better life saver!
Envirosuit is the most useless item. No sane player would just take an acid/lava bath, he will always try to find a way around. It's only really useful in The Lava Pits. Someone also did a good suggestion
that it should protect the player from acid ball attacks from monsters.

- Well, I think this is pretty clear! If you think of the word "Weapon Mod", automatically your first thought would be a damage improver. Same goes for DoomRL it seems!
The most useless mods are Magazine and Reload. Reloading takes a fairly short time in DoomRL, so seriously, who really needs those? Magazine is only useful for the BFG9K, during the Cybie battle.

The most dreaded levels are The Wall and The Lava Pits. The Wall is for people with a death wish, The Lava Pits... just... suck. Surprisingly, the mortuary seems not to be hated at all!
