Title: Squad based play?

A feature I think I'd like for DoomRL or one of its spin offs is squad based play, the ability to command more than one character. Is there already a spinoff that handles that? It would be very plausible for the Alien game.

Well, you proposed it for DoomRL. But it wouldn't have to be DoomRL, it would fit perfectly with Aliens, or maybe a new game called XCOM RL? :D

Hmm, so XCOM Roguelike... Now THAT is something I would like to see.
