Ok, I can't take this anymore.
I'm normally pretty fine in AoB mode once I get the chainsaw and some blue armor, but thats just the problem.
FUCKING.
HUMAN.
SEARGAENTS.
Is there ANY way around these guys? They force damage on you with shotty spread, and you can't run up to them due to knockback, its absolutely ridiculous!
Tips to help me not suck? ):
EDIT: Nevermind lol, I just saw the thread at the bottom of the page *headdesk*

Don't try to kill them unless they're near the stairs? :/
-
Try dropping a bait, maybe ?
(This one probably shall be removed in next release, but for now...)

Yeah, I've been trying to ski around seargeants, but even when that goes right, I'll get situations like rooms with one exit leading into a room full of lava or something silly like that. Its crazy >_<
I've had relative success starting with TaN over Brute since they die quick to melee anyway and eating close range shotgun blasts hurts just a little bit less. Even still, its wicked hard. XD;

Bump!
Ok, so I've learned the tricks of AoB, and I actually managed to hit the Unholy Cathedral! (I actually kinda wanna write an in-depth guide to the first couple floors of AoB for noobs like myself)
But my question concerns Angel of Death (and system mechanics in general, I guess)
This guy creamed me (no armor, but even with TaN 3 he still slapped me from 90% -> 14% in one turn X:), so I looked up his stats and saw he had 10!! Armor and 250 HP.
With my Chainsaw (out of berserk mode, unfortunately) and with Brute 3, would I damage be dealt as
(1~6+9)-10 4 times meaning 4~18 per turn (63 turns~14 turns)
or
(4~24+9)-10 once meaning 1~21 per turn? (250 turns~12 turns)
Also, is there any record of his melee damage? Because next time I try it, I wanna make positive I have more than 3 Large Med Packs and preferably gothic armor in hand, but red armor at least so I can calculate how much he dishes out per turn.

DO NOT FEAR THE SHOTGUN. CHARGE THOSE JERKS AND MELONIZE THEIR HEADS. that's not the whole secret, but part :)

Berserk is the key to defeating the Angel.
(From my admittedly limited experience, Berserker trait has a higher than usual chance to proc from attacks against him)

I'd certainly hope so. That damage is huge. D:
according to the wiki its also a percentage dependant on damage starting at 5% when you deal 5 damage, iirc.

After you get the Spear, and have Berserk trait, you'll be berserking most of the time. That's why Spear is a must!
