Title: Hail to the King trait
Post by: Brewtal Legend on October 08, 2009, 10:07
I though it would be cool if there was a trait that would let you dual wield a chainsaw and shotgun/double shotgun like Ash in Evil dead. That way, when enemies get close you can hit them with the chainsaw and use the shotgun for ranged without having to switch. Maybe make the reload time on the shotgun a little slower to compensate for having one hand full.

Not sure which traits should be required to get this one. Definitely shottyman, not sure about the other to one that should be required. maybe brute.

Dual Chainsaws? Seriously? Look that up in the dictionary and you'll probably find the words "See also: Overkill".

Dual Chainsaws (and, indeed, dual Shotguns) is too much. It would make it way too easy to finish the game. Imagine AoB with two Chainsaws (or, as being able to dual weild Chainsaws would have to allow you to dual weild all melee items (dual weild HEAVY Chainsaws but not lighter Combat Knifes or Cleaver/Longinus combo) a combo of the Butcher's Cleaver and the Longinus Spear). If ANYTHING gets nearby, it gets ripped to shreds. It's all about balance.

edit: Ah, after seeing Malek's post, I understand what you're trying to say. Forgive my sleep deprived mind.

*snip*
It's called "Juggler" and it both makes you switch instantly and allow for usage of prepared melee weapon when needed (at least by description, never used it myself... regardless even if it's only instant-switch it still covers the thing).

I actually proposed an Angel of Evil Dead, but it turned into Angel of Zombies, which I'm cool with. :D

And we've got a trait being a reference to Evil Dead already... Two's too much already, is it not ?

DUKE NUKEM DOES NOT APPROVE

Well, wah. It doesn't matter now, because DNF is dead, although maybe in tribute, we could put in a "Balls of Steel" trait...just a thought.

Ironman -> Balls of Steel
Are you sure Iron Man has Balls of Steel? I think that would rather be Balls of Iron...

"Balls of steel"
"Why are you running away from me? Come on?"
"Where are all the monsters? You have to find them quick because you have so much energy in you, that you will explode if you do not kill a monster in one minute."

Hm... Now that might be a nice challenge :D

Without even watching, is this A) A rickroll attempt, or B) The one video where that guy has a Duke Nukem soundboard and is pissing off some girl in the chat channel?

One could say that if some foolish being tried to rr Duke Nukem, Duke Nukem would kick their ass, for yay verily: He is fresh out of bubblegum.
