I found AdvTech Weapon Pack on Base 7 and am now in possession of an advanced pistol (with the power mod from Hell's Arena, of course). I have a pile of technical mods and a bulk mod, but don't know if any of them are worth using.
-
Depends on your build.
If you're going with a classical and not getting Gun Kata, then use bulk mods and power mods.
If you get Gun Kata, then power and agility mods all the way.
I personaly wouldn't use tech mods on them too much.

Are bulk worth using?

Well... We've delayed the release for over a week to make every type useful (i.e: balanced), so I HOPE they all are...

With the changes to all the mod effects, I'd say that technical mods for weapons are the way to go, in almost all situations. -20% fire time translates to +25% dps (reload time excluded). Plus a shorter firing time means that enemies have less time to act after you fire - preventing double turns against your single one, and giving you an earlier chance to react to situational changes, such as new enemies coming into view.
For pistols, the bulk mod is worth considering since a large proportion of your time is spent reloading after getting the 4 basic pistol traits. The weapon reload mod (-40% reload time) in the old version was way better though.
Power mods are okay, but outshined by the buffed technical mods.
The +1 accuracy (agility mod) effect is as crappy as ever - but essential for Ammochain builds.

Lucky you added in the Ammochain bit -- Aki would of been all over the place, ranting about how infinitely awesome agility mods make an Ammochain :P

Totally power mods. This way you can keep those arachnotrons away from you, they get simply pushed away. If I had an advanced pistol and I could choose from any types of mods, I would put 3 damage mods first

Imho:
Power>Technical>Bulk>Agility (in AoMr of course)
Power makes you kill faster, use less ammo and push enemies.
Technical makes you kill faster.
Bulk makes your regular pistols have +2 bullets more, so less reloads. But the amount of reloads depends heavily on your gamestyle - I usually do not have problems with it. Not to mention that Gun Kata makes Bulk modes a bit obsolete.
Agility mods are not very needed unless you hate Eagle Eye :P .
-
Agility mods are not very needed since Gun Kata, Cat Eye requires you to take 2*Eagle Eye.
Gun Kata doesn't need Eagle Eye, it needs Dodgemaster and Dualgunner.
They're still not needed since pistols have good accuracy, but I'd use them before Bulk because I prefer having both of my guns run out of ammo at the same time, and I almost never get two bulk mods.

Yeah my mistake, I checked again and fixed it :) .
I get EE*2 in 95% AoMr builds, so it is a part of build for me :D .

As for me, power mods are the most important because pistols are the weakest weapons without traits\mods. As for ammochain, I've personally used tech.(shoot speed) mods, to use chainfire ability: prospecting all the field you don't see but you sense there are monsters doesn't require accuracy, it require speed.Endless ammo is fun.

I'm sorry, it's compulsory for you to have Accuracy mods on your Plasma rifle if you're playing Ammochain.
-
See what I mean? :P

Something like that.
You stand there and shoot in every direction you wanna to, and when you hear a sound you continue to shoot. When you see monster you start chainfiring UNSTOPABLE with your 0.2 sec shoot.
Where you use accuracy?
-
Because when you spawn in a room with a V and R pack, you want to be able to hit the fuckers.

Usually the Vs are behind the Rs. So if you have high accuracy, first you hit the Rs, which get resurrected. If you do not have high accuracy, the shots have higher chance (sic!) in this situation to hit the Vs, since they might miss the Rs.
Whatever your accuracy is however, all those shots from plasma rifle will hit something from the V and R group for sure.

Or the wall.
-
Alternatively, you miss both of them.
Cause you suck that much.
I'm not even going to bother explaining. If you need reason, Dervis uses Accuracy mods. That should be reason enough.
If you can't get that through your thick head, quit while you still can.

I am extremely sorry for not thinking the way you do. Will you ever forgive me?

No one can ever be demented enough to think like Aki does (see: the time he told Silhar that shotguns miss on AoMC (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php/topic,2240.msg19144.html#msg19144)) :P

Psh, it's Melon. I wasn't talking about you. You're always right :P
I was talking to random guy.

But they did...until I told him otherwise :P

Oak-ay. I too agree with your logic. Better use accuracy mods, so you shoot 2 times slower but 4 times more accurate.
