I just did a AoM game where I found the Grammaton Cleric Beretta. Nice weapon, however it seems that Gun Kata's automatic reload simulates the 'R' key's behaviour after you've killed a monster, so the automatic mode is switched which is very annoying and confusing - and the weapon isn't even reloaded :(

By the way, this was in version 0.9.9 win and Windows 2000, if it matters :)
I just saw Aki's post and tried if the bug disappears by freeing the prepared weapon slot, but it seems it doesn't matter.

I agree. The GCB and Trigun should dual-reload if another pistol is in the prepared slot - Just take the second one out if you want to nuke or switch firemodes.

I just had a similar problem playing with the tri-gun + blaster. Blaster doesn't reload, tri-gun does angel arm (ack!), so it renders gun-kata useless.
This isn't in known bugs yet, hopefully kornel will see it soon.

Well, with the blaster, unless you are powered up to fire epically fast, it won't run out, so that eliminates that problem.
(Just reload the other gun normally)

All you people getting 2 unique pistols on AoMr runs... just be happy that you got them, damn it!

Depends how far back we're going. 9.8.5 was hard, 9.8.5 onwards was medium, 9.8.11 was dead easy, 9.9 is medium.

You don't seem to understand. If I wield the blaster as my main gun, not only do I get the error message every time I kill an enemy, I have to swap weapons to reload. Gun Kata is meant to be used while dodging enemies, and taking that long to swap and reload instead of reloading instantly like it should is a death sentence.
If, otoh, I wield tri-gun, gun kata makes it SET OFF THE ANGEL ARM ATTACK! So it renders gun kata useless.

I too got the combo Blaster + Trigun + MGK. There is possibility to decline Angelic Arm every time you kill. And take reloader. This will decrease the reload time, but wouldn't destroy it.

OR you could stop whining about bugs when dual-wielding uniques because :
a) you found multiple unique pistols on AoMr - lucky!
b) uniques aren't really meant to be dual-wielded

If your strategy relies on getting uniques, it's not much of a strategy.
Seriously, I don't think this is as big a bug you think it is, because of what Under said - Unique Pistols aren't made with Dualgunner in mind, they're made to stand alone.

If it isn't a bug the trait page should say "doesn't work with uniques".
I really don't see the logic here. Gun kata reloads pistols. Unique pistols are pistols. Unique pistols should be reloaded. If that makes them too powerful they should get nerfed otherwise.
It's like if Vampyre and Blademaster fired off the LS fireball every time you kill a monster. Clearly not an intended feature.
