I'm enjoying DoomRL more than I ever enjoyed Doom*, but I'm starting to get eyestrain from staring at the tiny screen. Is there a parameter I can add to the .bat to make the console window use a larger font?

Alternatively: go fullscreen.

Alternatively: go fullscreen.
That's an option if you use WinXP or earlier. Cause in Vista and 7 for some reason you can't go fullscreen.
If you use Vista or 7: Run DoomRL, right-click the app in the taskbar, choose "Properties", go to tab "Font Type", and there you can make the font larger. Not fullscreen, but at least larger.

Vista? 7? Bah, XP for the win. :P

Thanks, I suggest adding this bit of advice to the manual.

Kornel? Perhaps this can happen?

Absolutely true. But can I help it Vista was preinstalled on my computer? xP
But indeed I can agree if SmileyCentral wouldn't have ruined my old computer I'd have stayed with that...

If you're really desperate change to a lower screen resolution so the pixels get bigger :)

Pre-installed Vista... *shudders*

I've had the same thing. Although I'm not actually bothered by Vista generally, I just get irked that some stuff doesn't work properly on it.

Vista is Win7, only not finished yet cause MS needed money. Period :P

In Vista - just make a shortcut, edit shortcut properties, and change the screen font to something a bit more readable...
