This is very odd. I have the latest version of Doomrl on a flashdrive which I carry around, and I had no problem playing before, but now it refuses to start. It does show some sort of error briefly before closing, but I don't know what it means:

Could anyone help me out?

Hmm, I re-downloaded the game, and the newly downloaded version works fine. Maybe there's just something wrong with my flashdrive?

The error you show tells you you are missing dspopain.wav file from wav folder (one of sounds in other words). Probably there was an error when extracting the zip file or moving doomrl to the flash drive.
Also note that errors get dumped into error.log - it's easier to post contents of that than try to screenshot the error itself :)

Alright, bizarre. The new download of Doomrl that I got to replace the corrupted one is now corrupted too...
Something in a file named "log", there is no "error log", unless I'm blind:

There's also another message that pops up that says that the color.ini is corrupted and unreadable. I have NO idea what's causing this, as I still have my old version of doomrl which works just fine, and I'm not doing anything weird with the file or anything, so I can't see why it's doing this.
Any insight would be appreciated.

So... flash drives can go bad easily due to how they are designed. Maybe that's the cause of the problem? Have you tried running a sector scan to look for physical media issues?

im running 0.9.9.1 on a kingston 8gb flash drive and its running fine. maybe its just your drive?
-
Yeah, it might just be the drive. I have another that I can try it out on, so I guess I'll go do that.
