Title: No exotics in sight

I'm new to the game and I've beat it a few times on easiest. I'm trying to complete Not To Rough. One thing I've noticed is I haven't found and Exotic items yet. Are they rarer than rare? Is it only high difficulties?  Or am I just unlucky?

Exotics are pink. Did you visit chainsaw court? If yes, you have found an exotic there.

I finally found some. Found the phaseshift armor and boots, laser rifle, and onyx armor. Also I just beat HNTR. Yay.

Exotics are magenta. It sounds better. And also exotic is at the Wall.

today i found the minigun, assualt shotgun, and super shotgun. pretty sweet (until i died on level 22 from a double vile pack). actually i was kinda pissed because it didn't save my score or anything. it says i've played 1 hard game when I've played 2.

i found the nuclear plasma rifle and the missile launcher today. i guess you can mod the exotics but not the uniques. or something like that. i put a technical mod on the nuclear plasma rifle.

I mentioned in a mortem of mine that I think that exotics should have a level feeling that is different from a uniques, so that compulsive searching isn't necessary to guarantee you aren't missing one.

I found a chainsaw that wasn't at the Chained Court.

And two Assault Shotguns. One of which was on Angel of Marksmanship. Gah.

I agree with this. Part of the reason why I don't go ripping through hell with the missile launcher is because I don't want to destroy any items.
