Title: Windows compatibility
Post by: Anti-Jagular~ on March 18, 2010, 00:25
Latest version (0.9.9.1) is not compatible with win98SE (doomrl.exe requires KERNEL32.DLL:GetConsoleWindow)... It's obvious that many projects drop support of win98, but anyway is there any hope of fixing this? Not a chance?

I don't know if any of us even have Win98 boxes left... this could be an SDL issue.  If yes, you might be out of luck there...

OK! Looks like I'll have to stay with previous 0.9.9... No problem - it's still good! :-)

It might be possible to get a Kernel32.dll hack. Then again, my experience with that is that it's almost never worth the hassle.

It's because I use some functions that were unavailable in 98 for console lock. I could provide a compatibility release if enough people are interested.

Would be great! At least for 1.0.0! :-)

Not sure if this should be ticket-ified so instead doing lock + sticky combo for it to work as a reminder.

Seems resolved (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php/topic,4008.0.html).  Unstickify.
